birthday 🤝 college graduation

1,082 days ago was my first night alone in my dorm in New York City. I didn’t sleep very well. I remember thinking about all the of the things I’d yet to experience and the people I’d yet to meet. I thought about what my college graduation would look like. It seemed so far away at the time and I knew it would come fast, but damn. Not that fast.

My start in LA was rough; I was depressed and missing my family and NYC (not to mention more uncalled for ridiculous BS). I found sanctuary in my incredibly talented classmates, fabulous new roomies, and doing improv at The Groundlings. I also tried my hand at stand up comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade which led to performing at the legendary historic comedy venue The Ice House. I was the only 8th semester camera kid to go through the summer semester, so I was put in a cohort with the actors. It was intimidating to join a group that all knew each other, but I was welcomed with open arms and grace which was so appreciated. I never felt like I didn’t belong with them.

Thank you everyone who directed me, taught me, cheered for me, and supported me. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television! This chapter is officially closed… I wonder what the next one holds. My cup truly runneth over.

✨So I got a Degree!✨

After these 3 years, I don’t even remember the person I was before, I have grown and evolved so much over my time at AMDA. I’ve discovered who I am as a performer and as a person but most importantly that every day I’ll change a bit more. I don’t know what the future holds but I know I don’t have to have it all figured out! Love all my people out there so so so much! 🫶⭐️
