9 days later and I’m still mesmerised by the launch of my debut album Turn On The Lights at @thestreetcbr. 4.5 years ago I launched my Brave EP so it felt special to be back on that same stage…

The night went by so quickly that I barely had time to take it all in — the band, the Street Theatre crew, the audience, the stories, the laughter. I used to feel embarrassed about talking too much on stage, but not that night. I felt relaxed, held, and free to share the dry jokes and the stories behind each song.

We almost filled the theatre, yet it still felt intimate — like coming home after 3 years away and finally sharing my full, authentic self with people I love and trust.

And the Q&A afterwards was incredibly sweet. New faces came to ask about my neurodivergent and multicultural experiences, and hearing that some of you share those stories too meant more than I can say.

This show wouldn’t have been what it was without every single one of you there ❤️

I can’t wait to do this again soon.

Maybe in your town next.

Still taking in everything from Saturday night.

Here are a few moments from my side of the evening: the people, the quiet, the anticipation, the feeling.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me and the band. I’m so blessed to have these friends on stage with me.

My adrenaline is still high, and the whole night keeps replaying in my mind.

More photos soon, once I’ve let it all settle 🪴

Launching ‘Turn On The Lights’ 開燈 at The Street Theatre this Saturday, 16 May — 7:30pm start.

Two 45‑minute sets with the full band and a vocal ensemble of beautiful humans I adore.
There’ll be singalongs, storytelling, and a warm, heartfelt atmosphere.

Rehearsals are in full swing and I can’t wait to bring these songs to life with:

Myself on 🎤+ 🎸+uke
@haydenkinsmanmusic 🎹
@ginganinja13_au on bass 🎸
@clarissagoh._ on 🎻

Such an amazing night playing and watching @joshpyke play, it feels unreal to be back in the live music scene. I was definitely a fangirl! Thanks so much for the wonderful time and I'm really grateful for having these nice people around me 😇 and @tabhartsyou, of course, nailed the performance too. I'm so proud xo
