Saturday morning, the Kaneland H.O.P.E program brought their students to Elburn Days to play a variety of games and go on rides. From 9-12, games such as sponge toss, bubble station and beanbag toss were available to give children an opportunity to win a variety of prizes. From 10-12, the kids were able to go on the carnival rides with each other. This event was open to multiple communities, with about 500 families signing up. The group’s mission was to give children who had never been to a carnival before the opportunity to have that experience. This was Joe Kryszak and Fran Eggleston’s last year running this program. Next year, Sarah Mumm will take over.
