Abilene Rugby Club X Bloodfests 7s
Which was most of our girls 2nd to 3rd Tournament ever and they absolutely kicked ass. A couple learning experiences on what to do better and a whole lotta moments where they did so much right! Shout out to the Abilene men who also made it to the championship as well as supported the ladies during our games.
Huge shout out to the amazing rugby vets who stood by us @judithnickol as well as play in our games @hunter.rugby12 and @mallory_glove you guys were the best!!
Along with the rest of the bad ass women who hopped on to give us support in numbers. We were very happy to show the rest of Texas what we have cooking in Abilene and we’ll come back better for the next one. This is Abilene rugby and we’re just getting started!!

A reminder to myself: Along the journey, you will have setbacks; you will face adversity, but it is how you respond to that adversity that dictates your character. I’ve learned a lot this year, and the most important lesson I’ve learned is that sometimes the impact you leave behind is more important than certain goals. And that’s not to say don’t chase your goals; it’s just a graceful reminder that the work you put into chasing those goals can inspire someone. So remember, take some time to sit down and make that connection with others because you never know what small seed can blossom into something amazing in someone’s life.

Through the challenges of this year, I’ve told myself to think about the story of David and Goliath. I do that to remind myself to face everything with an overwhelming confidence because I have the god giving ability to meet adversity with a firm grip and succeed. In doing so, I’ve become a much better person, man, leader, and friend. I know I still have much to work on, but I’m being patient and doing the work, so in due time, the results will come.
