I have been teaching my daughter piano (to the best of my ability), and I’m beyond stoked to wake up every day hearing her work on every little thing she learns until her hands are sore.

Today, we talked about songwriting, and I played her “Mouth of Ghosts” from our album Ire Works. Having the freedom to play songs like this right after a song like “Destro’s Secret” was such a privilege.

All these guys onstage were, and still are, fearless. I’m super lucky to have been up there with them and to have the most open-minded, badass fanbase ever!

Maybe the most chaotic thing I’ve ever tried to film. @dillingerescapeplan joined @nineinchnails to close out NIN’s set with “Wish” at the Soundwave festival in Perth, Australia, 2009. I’m in the middle of the stage with a DSLR and a death wish, trying to find focus without taking a guitar to the face. Total madness, but so much fun. Watch to the end for Trent’s drum dive. Dudes rock.

This was part of a unique series of single-shot handheld on-stage videos I filmed of NIN in 2009 with the Canon 5D Mark II fresh off its release, marking some of the earliest concert photography work with the camera that kicked off the HD DSLR cinema revolution of the 2010s. 🔗 in bio for the full version of this video + all the rest from my NIN on-stage series, and the story behind them.

Nine Inch Nails live in 2009: Trent Reznor, Robin Finck, Ilan Rubin, Justin Meldal-Johnsen.
The Dillinger Escape Plan live in 2009: Greg Puciato, Ben Weinman, Liam Wilson, Jeff Tuttle, Billy Rymer.
Audio mix by Blumpy.

Being over 40 and having gone to A LOT of shows, there's something to be said for the guys in bands who are "lifers", usually those are the ones that still enjoy going to shows themselves. @malokonjche telling this fun story of @213mattman from @bronxovision crowd surfing during one of DEP's sets.

Something I've always admired about @malokonjche is that in spite of all his accomplishments in all his creative endeavors, he's never lost being a fan. He champions bands and various things he loves and is excited about. I think too often the more we get into something, especially if it becomes more than a hobby, that that initial love/fandom slowly fades away. As I get older, and especially with how the podcast has had to change where my life is now, I'm reminded to try and be more like Jeff and not lose that.

the run end upruptly for Pantera to perform at the Ozzy/Black Sabbath show. We talk about how Jeff still retains his fandom and passion for creative things, like music and wrestling.

Jeff shares what it means to be an artist from Detroit and adding to the expansive musical tapestry that has been woven over several decades, some Old Gods talk and more.

Season One of the podcast is officially out. This was a labor of love, and apologies to some of the guests as we did this awhile back. Overall the show has had to change over the years of doing it. For my life currently this is how the show can still be a part of my life, but not be so ALL consuming as it was doing a weekly show was. These are all people I wanted to have on the show for one reason or another and I think there's something to be learned from each person. I hope you enjoyed this, and I'm already working on Season Two. Enjoy, and happy holidays.

@malokonjche of @shocknarcotic joins @ghostcultkeefy to discuss their long-awaited second album My Flesh Is Afraid But I Am Not, out now via @housecorerecords .

Also featuring an all-star lineup of Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer), Shawn Knight (Child Bite), and Don Slater (ex-Battlecross), My Flesh Is Afraid But I Am Not delivers a relentless mix of grind, hardcore, and noise. It's pure sonic aggression refined by years of experience in the extreme music underground. In this interview, Jeff discusses the creative process behind the record, the chemistry between bandmates, and how Shock Narcotic can tour without compromising.

Shock Narcotic’s Jeff Tuttle on Dystopia, Dillinger, and the Drive to Keep Moving Forward

Jeff Tuttle has never been one to sit still. From his visceral stage presence with The Dillinger Escape Plan to the dystopian chaos of Shock Narcotic, his creative output has always been raw, relentless, and deeply personal. Now, with the release of My Flesh Is Afraid, But I Am Not—Shock Narcotic’s latest slab of cinematic grind and existential fury—Tuttle reflects on everything from cults and cover songs to the long-lost days of paper maps and punk tours. In this interview, we trace his journey from the underground trenches of Capture the Flag to the genre-defying legacy of Dillinger, and into the bleak-yet-hopeful terrain of Shock Narcotic’s newest chapter.
