Our intention this week at Ritual Hot Yoga is Dharana which is the practice of focus and concentration. The reminder that consistent attention toward one goal can create something extraordinary. Two years ago today, I registered an LLC with the State of Utah. Fifteen months ago, we opened Ritual Hot Yoga. That gap is the part most people never see. A year spent building a brand in a completely new market. Designing a studio. Hiring and training a team. Learning how to run a business before there was even a business to run. And honestly, it started long before that. Every job I’ve ever had gave me a skill I still lean on today from selling for startups, running enterprise cybersecurity deals, cold calling at Yelp, teaching 8th-grade English in China, teaching beginners to ski at Mammoth, working the register at a toy store & even selling solar panels inside Home Depot. None of it was wasted. Looking back, every experience was preparing me for this chapter, even when I couldn’t see it. If you’re in a job that doesn’t feel like your forever, don’t underestimate what you’re learning. You’re building skills, resilience, confidence, and perspective that may become the foundation for something you haven’t even imagined yet. Focus on what’s in front of you. Keep showing up. Dream bigger than what’s in front of you. ✨
