Hey party people!! In honor of PCOS Awareness Month we are painting CONNECTED PURPOSE GROUP TEAL!!

Today is the first day of NATIONAL PCOS AWARENESS MONTH!!!! As many of you may know, I suffer from a disease that affects 1 in 5 women in the world called PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). In short... PCOS is “A variable disorder that is marked especially by amenorrhea, hirsutism, obesity, infertility, and ovarian enlargement and is usually initiated by an elevated level of luteinizing hormone, androgen, or estrogen which results in an abnormal cycle of gonadotropin release by the pituitary gland —abbreviation PCOS — called also polycystic ovary disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, polycystic ovary disease, Stein-Leventhal syndrome.” This information was borrowed from my favorite PCOS Awareness group... (PCOSAA) PCOS Awareness Association founded by one of my best friends Megan M Stewart @meganmstewart . Please follow and tag @pcosaa to become more aware and spread more awareness. Visit their website at www. pcosaa. org .

🗽✨ The energy at PCOS CON in New York this past Saturday was ELECTRIC!

Did I cry... yes, because over the last 11 years, there were times I had wanted to quit and shut the organization down for various reasons. But then we host an event or booth at a fair, and I get to meet the people the organization serves. I am reminded that it is not about me at all. It's about those that need help, so I have to keep going!

Together, we can make a real difference! 🙌🩵

PCOS is a hurricane. And ignoring its progressive nature, like Megan’s doctor did, is like sending the patient into the eye of the storm on a deflated raft.

On the latest Hello Uterus episode, we welcomed Megan Stewart, founder and executive director of the PCOS Awareness Association.

During our conversation, we learned about Megan's shocking journey with PCOS, her fight with cervical cancer, and if that wasn't enough – her experience with medical gaslighting throughout. Oh, she also loves sparkles! ✨

Starting at 9 years old, Megan's severe symptoms had her missing weeks of school as doctors questioned if her symptoms were real, or just in her head. You can almost hear our *gasps* when she was told to push her PCOS under the rug until she was “ready”. 😡

Her turbulent journey is what led to the creation of @pcosaa – an incredible non-profit dedicated to the advocacy of PCOS, a chronic hormonal condition impacting over 10 MILLION people. It exists so you can stay informed and work to prevent this progressive disease from affecting your life.

Please visit pcosaa.org for more info, resources, and to register for their 10 year anniversary 'Reveal the Teal' virtual soiree this month! 💃 🕺

Ok, who remembers this ultimate #manofteal moment from a few years ago? I love this so much, Jordan helped @pcosaa spread awareness of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome by creating this song and skit with a little help from myself. I appreciated his collaboration and creativity! Check out his other PCOS video on our PCOSAA website.

I'm still in disbelief that 9 years ago my life changed and I found my purpose! The moment I had people contacting me from all over the world, I knew what needed to be done.
