Throwing it back to a beautiful week in Hershey! One of my favorite stops my second time around with this show. Not only were we in a town thriving off of chocolate, my parents and my bestie saw the show for the first time!

Shows always have a little more excitement when you’ve got people in the audience ready to watch you do what you love to do.

If you ever want to make your performer friend’s day, show up to their next show! It doesn’t matter how big or small the production. Even if they tell you that you don’t have to go. Go see it! And then have something more to say about it than, “it was good.” Or, “good job.” Your investment in their craft truly means the world STAR

Just be sure to tell them you’re in the audience before the end of the show so they don’t leave the theater without saying, “hello” 😉✨

PART 1 OF TINA CLOSING ~

8 months… 3 countries…69 cities…
175 shows later….
I’ve been sitting on these feelings & thoughts for some weeks now, and I still can’t put into words how extraordinary this experience has been. Being apart of the Tina Turner National Tour has been nothing short of electric. I had to put these experiences into two parts because ,truly, I felt like I was living a double life at some moments. From the moment this incredible cast & creatives stepped into the room, I knew this experience was going to be one of those one in a million life time experiences. The love that we shared everyday & every night ,and the tears, sweat, & pain… that every single person put out on that stage was magical…my favorite part about all of this was that we got to tell the Queen of ROCK AND ROLL’s Story..MS. TINA. FREAKING. TURNER!!! The most fiercest and powerful spirit to guide us & watch over us as we embarked on her journey and life each night. God I’m so grateful. I’ve ran out of pinches to give myself. My heart is so heavy with gratitude knowing that we were the ones to close out this chapter of Tina….
This Journey will stay with me forever ✨

As an Ikette…. Challenging was an understatement. I mean to think that the girls and I came all the way from bootcamp until NOW?! I remember the first day learning the Mega Mix or putting on our heels for the first time and then DOING the mega mix…….yeah we left that rehearsal room limping & sore…& honestly.. thank goodness we did because it pushed us so much that we never let a show go by where we weren’t going full out. Thank you Janet for believing in us 🥹But truly…the Ikettes.. I love yall so much.. thank you for always putting 110% out on the stage and pushing me to do the same. Thank you for the sisterhood that we created together. I couldn’t have gotten through this tour without the support and strength from the girls!

|~ Closing Night of Tina🥺~|

TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, wow. I still can’t believe this chapter is over. (@tinabroadway @xroads_live )
7 months. 3 countries. 69 cities. 175 shows. A journey I’ll be carrying with me for a long time.

I’m endlessly grateful to have told Tina’s story and grown so much as both an artist and a woman. This show will always hold a deeply special place in my heart. My first National Broadway tour—I got to perform at DPAC (a stage I’ve dreamed of since I was little🥹) and the Tanger Center (a full-circle moment from college dreams to reality). Most importantly, it was the last show my Nana got to see me in. Losing family is extremely difficult, especially being on the road, 1,000 miles away.

A very special thank you to Monty Kane for being my anchor, my shoulder to cry on, my adventure buddy, for wiping my tears, for checking in, and being a light who held space for me when I couldn’t hold it for myself. I couldn’t have made it through this tour without you.

To the company of TINA, WE DID IT! Cast, crew, management, I love y’all! Thank y’all for making my first tour such a beautiful experience. I’m gonna miss our preshow handshakes, fist bumps, hugs, every high five between scenes, and every WOP WOP from the wings during Megamix. Thank you for your support and making work fun.

To my Ikettes: MY GIRLS, thank y’all for keeping me on my toes in the rehearsal scene😂 (iykyk) WORST STUDENTS EVER. Thank y'all for having my back both on stage and off. In bootcamp they told us it was best if we actually liked each other… we did, and built a beautiful bond that kept me laughing even on my worst days. Being an Ikette ISN'T EASY, but I’d do it all over again if it meant doing it with y’all.

To my TINAS: it’s been an honor to dance behind each of y’all. Thank y’all for being fearless leaders and for taking me in as your Ikette 1, Tina’s protector, and scene partner. I love y’all.

To Amanda: thank you for holding my body together with cups, needles, tape, and pure strength 😂🥹—xoxo, your problem child.
