A robot calls a bulldog “bread.” What happens next? Danny and Lulu start asking questions!

As parents, we want our children to use AI wisely—and keep thinking for themselves. That starts with curiosity, questioning answers, learning from mistakes, and caring for others. 💛

🐾 Inspired by my son Daniel’s childhood adventures with his beloved bulldog, Bruno, The Real Adventures of Danny & Bruno brings big ideas to young readers through laughter, discovery, and connection.

✨ Seven human superpowers guide the adventures: curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, empathy, adaptability, and resilience.

📚 For ages 6–9. Coming November 27, 2026—on what would have been Daniel’s 30th birthday.

All proceeds directly support Daniel Calazans Legacy, advancing youth mental health and supporting bereaved families. 💛

💬 What is the funniest—or most surprising—question your child has asked?

The calls grow quieter. The invitations stop. But #grief does not end when the first days of attention pass.

More than 40 million U.S. adults have had their lives disrupted by losing someone to an overdose. Behind that number are parents, children, siblings, partners, and friends who may feel profoundly alone.

The #DanielCalazansFoundation is expanding into #DanielCalazansLegacy to bring grief education, compassionate connection, and whole-person wellbeing support to bereaved families and friends.

We launch on November 27, 2026—Daniel’s 30th birthday. Learn more at danielcalazanslegacy.org.

A life deeply loved.
A loss that changed everything.
A mission born from love.
Since 2021, the Daniel Calazans Foundation has worked to advance mental health awareness, prevention, and systemic change.
Along the way, we discovered another urgent truth: after a profound loss, support often fades while grief continues—leaving families and friends to navigate an unfamiliar life largely alone.
Our mission is now entering a new phase.
From prevention to presence.
On November 27, 2026—what would have been Daniel’s 30th birthday—the Daniel Calazans Foundation will become the Daniel Calazans Legacy.
This evolution honors Daniel’s life and his final wish to let others know and be of service. It expands our commitment to provide grief education and whole-person wellbeing support for bereaved families and friends.
The name is changing.
The love remains.
The mission continues.
Daniel Calazans Legacy
Wellbeing support for bereaved families and friends.

What if AI could help connect the missing pieces in mental healthcare?
For six years, Daniel Calazans’s mother searched for answers within a fragmented healthcare system. That search became the chapter “Connecting the Missing Pieces: AI’s Promise for Mental Healthcare” in the newly released book The AI Transformation: Thriving Within Civilization’s Next Big Disruption.
Written from the perspective of an investigative journalist, AI researcher, mental health advocate—and, above all, a bereaved mother—the chapter explores how artificial intelligence could help improve diagnosis, coordinate care, identify dangerous medication interactions, and prevent families from experiencing similar tragedies.
The book is available now on Amazon. Instagram followers can receive a special discount today.

A gente administra; a gente leva Alegria pra brincar com a Tristeza! Axé!!!!!

We were taught to follow the “Five Stages of Grief,” but most people don’t know this:
The Kübler-Ross stages were created for the dying, not for the ones left behind.
No wonder survivors feel confused or “out of order.”
Grief was never meant to be a sequence.
Real grief moves in waves.
Some soft.
Some wild.
Some returning without warning.
You’re not behind.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re simply grieving the human way —
wave by wave.
As I write my new book on how grief truly unfolds, my purpose is simple:
To help survivors feel less alone in their waves.

Grief often stirs old traumas because the mind and body don’t see grief as an isolated event — they experience it as another rupture, another overwhelming moment that resembles previous pain. Grief opens the same neural and emotional pathways that past trauma once carved, which is why old memories, wounds, or unresolved experiences suddenly rise to the surface. #GriefBook

Sky of Santo Amaro
Céu de Santo Amaro

I look at the sky
Olho para o céu

So many stars speaking of the immensity
Tantas estrelas dizendo da imensidão

Of the universe within us
Do universo em nós

The strength of this love invaded us
A força desse amor nos invadiu

With it came peace, all the beauty of feeling
Com ela veio a paz, toda beleza de sentir

That forever a star will say
Que para sempre uma estrela vai dizer

Simply love you
Simplesmente amo você

My love, I will tell you
Meu amor, vou lhe dizer

I want you with the joy of a bird
Quero você com a alegria de um pássaro

In search of another summer
Em busca de outro verão

In the night of the backlands
Na noite do sertão

My heart only wants to beat for you
Meu coração só quer bater por ti

I place myself in your hands
Eu me coloco em tuas mãos

To feel all the tenderness I dreamed of
Para sentir todo o carinho que sonhei

We are queen and king
Nós somos rainha e rei

Na noite do sertão

My heart only wants to beat for you

Scientists claim that we are now able to liver over 150 years. Longevity is possible through a combination of advancements in medicine, particularly in areas like gene therapy and regenerative medicine, combined with healthy lifestyle choices. Yet, this impressive advancement will only affect physical health, not mental health. Yet, Americans don’t have access to universal health care, and life expectancy in the US is declining because of mental illnesses. Is it realistic to claim that everyone will be able to enjoy the benefits of being a centenarian? Gen Z is experiencing an unprecedented mental health crisis, directly affecting the physical and emotional health of their parents, siblings, and grandparents. Isn’t it time to live in the present moment and address those who are dying now? #danielcalazansfoundation #healthbodyhealthymind #genz #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #mentalwellness
