Listen as a teacher from a local middle school in the San Fernando Valley, shares her sadness around one of her students getting taken by ice —-just a few days before her graduation. The sadness in her voice sums up with many of us are feeling. 🙏🏼 Thank you @valleyviewssfv for sharing her story. When one person gets taken this is the ripple effect in our community.

ICE has been confirmed in Los Angeles. A lot of people like myself are feeling helpless and emotionally charged watching videos of the raids knowing the people being detained are hard workers, loved ones, and fellow Angelenos. It’s hard to know what to do in times like these, so I’m using my voice to do what I can and sharing one resource I’m aware of with you. Stay safe 🤎#iceraids #immigration

The past few days have been both heartbreaking and deeply inspiring. Seeing our community come together to support L.A. during these devastating fires has truly been a blessing. We’ve especially rallied around Altadena and Pasadena… two cities that mean so much to me. The #EatonFire has directly impacted members of Chingona AF and close friends, making this fight personal for all of us. Together, we’ve been collecting essential supplies, volunteering at @ushsnews, @pasadena_conventioncenter, and @santaanitapark, and sharing critical resources.

If you’re reading this, I want to encourage you to reach out and help someone in need. I have a list of trusted organizations where you can donate or volunteer. And if you’ve been directly affected by the fires, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here for you.

Chingona, thank you for consistently showing up, standing together, and making a real difference in my life and the lives of so many others. I’m forever grateful for YOU.

A special thank you to @the.mariiiposa @hersneakersherway and @aura.creatives.co for jumping on board day 1. CommUNITY at it’s finest. #denastrong #prayfortheLAnd
