I have witnessed cars being destroyed by parking under them and having them fall when they thaw a little. #deathcicles #giant #icicle #roastinghousevc #virginiacity #virginiacitynv #visitvirginiacity #travelnevada #alwayslookingup @roastinghousevc

This was from our Lake Tahoe trip we took in 2022!! It took us 2 full days to do Virginia City! While we were there we met some amazing locals from the bartenders at Bucket of Blood, the gentleman from The Roasting House, the young lady from The VC Vault, the tour guide from The Washoe Club to total strangers that were visiting from outta town. We loved it there and still talk about it to this day! One day we will be back and I hope we can add on some more memories!! On a more mournful note, the amazing banjo player posted at the end of this video has since passed away. He reminded my family of my late grandfather and it was such a joy to hear him play in #bucketofbloodsaloon . We were deeply saddened by the news and our condolences go out to his family and the town💞

🥀
"Gary Greenlund, a longtime resident, and musician of Virginia City passed away yesterday.

If you have spent any time in the Bucket of Blood, you probably have heard him playing his banjo over in the corner.

For over 45 years, Gary has been entertaining our visitors. He will be missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. God speed." - Visit Virginia City Facebook

We stepped back in time in Virginia City, Nevada. This old West town was an great stop on our way to Reno. We walked the wooden sidewalks and enjoyed the view from the Roasting House while enjoying a yummy lunch.

The Roasting House is your place to fuel up and warm up!

The historic bar from the Brass Rail Saloon still stands today serving as a full-service espresso and old-fashioned soda bar. Check out their variety of options for breakfast and lunch.

What’re you ordering? Try one of their specialties like a waffle sandwich! Link in bio.

DYK Virginia City’s Silver Terrace Cemetery is a great spot for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing?! 🎿 #OnlyInVC

They are open till 5 each day and boast a solid 18” base and 30 acres - room for all the activities. 🤪

Afterwards, rest your ski legs at @roastinghousevc or @the.canvas.cafe for a hot beverage or lunch. 🤤
