THIS is how much trash our volunteers picked up in just 2 hours 🤯🗑️ I organized this event in partnership with Davines as part of their global Activation Day initiative to help restore our natural spaces. While our original June cleanup was rained out, we were stoked to reschedule and finally come together to give back to our community. 💚 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who gave up part of their Sunday to roll up their sleeves and make our community a little cleaner. You are amazing. 💚 Also, a special shoutout to @revelstoke and @westcoastbeautylarissa for donating an awesome raffle prize! At @birchandlacehaircompany, sustainability is something we practice every day. From partnering with Green Circle Salons to keeping beauty waste out of landfills and working with brands that share our values, we’re always looking for ways to leave things better than we found them. Here’s to cleaner trails, an amazing community, and making this an annual tradition. Raffle winner will@be drawn tomorrow! 🌿♻️ See you next year!

We’re excited to share that we’re upgrading to a new reservation system to make booking with us even easier! After careful research, we’ve decided to move to Phorest, a reservation platform built specifically for salons like ours that truly fits the way we work. We’re so excited about what this means for your booking experience! Here’s what you need to know: 📅 Online booking will be paused from June 30 – July 7 while we transition to our new system. During this time, online bookings will be unavailable, but we’ll still be here to help you book appointments by phone, DM, or in the salon. Once we’re live, you’ll enjoy:
🤍 The ability to book colour services online
🤍 A more streamlined online booking experience
🤍 Easier rebooking of your favourite services and past appointments
🤍 An overall smoother booking process Thank you for your patience as we make this exciting upgrade. We can’t wait to welcome you to our new booking system and make scheduling your appointments even easier! Stay tuned for more updates. 💛

🌈✨The hair industry has always had deep roots in queer culture. Long before “self-care” became a buzzword, queer artists, stylists, creators, and trendsetters were shaping the way we express ourselves through hair, beauty, fashion, and identity. Pride Month is a chance to celebrate those contributions, honour that history, and recognize the vibrant community that continues to inspire our industry every day. At Birch & Lace, we believe great hair has no gender, self-expression has no rules, and everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and welcomed. Whether you’re here for a dramatic transformation, a maintenance appointment, a little self-care, or simply a good conversation, our chairs are for everyone..you belong here. Happy Pride from the birches xx 🏳️‍🌈💕✨

Today we celebrate all the incredible women who nurture, guide, support, protect, and inspire. 💐 To the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, dog moms, moms-to-be, mother figures, and the women who carry the memory of motherhood in their hearts — today is for you. To the strong feminine leaders in our community who show up with compassion, resilience, and grace every single day, thank you for the impact you make far beyond what you may realize. Strong women uplift other women. They lead with kindness, share wisdom, create safe spaces, and remind the next generation what empowerment truly looks like. It takes a community of confident, caring, informed women to help raise future leaders — and we are so grateful to be surrounded by so many of them. Wishing love and appreciation to every woman who mothers in her own unique way. Happy Mother’s Day. 🤍
