The anniversary 15th edition of @patchlabfestival , under the theme 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙞𝙢, was truly exceptional! Four intense days filled with extraordinary digital art, inspiring encounters, powerful audiovisual experiences, and conversations about the future that will resonate long after the festival has ended. This year’s theme, 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙞𝙢, invited us to critically reflect on the promises of technology and the futures we are collectively shaping. What happens when technology can simulate not only images and spaces, but also presence, emotions, touch, and human agency? Who is really shaping the future — ourselves, or the systems that increasingly influence our choices and imagination? Once again, @patchlabfestival became a unique space for artistic experimentation, critical reflection, and imagining possible futures. A space where art goes beyond showcasing technological possibilities, challenging us to consider their impact on our lives and creative practices. Another significant moment of this anniversary edition was the launch of “THE BOOK: Patchlab Digital Art Festival 2012–2026”, made possible with the invaluable editorial support of Marcin @maciu_m Maciejewski and designed by @karolina_pamula The publication brings together reflections and perspectives from artists, curators, researchers, and cultural practitioners who are shaping contemporary discourse on art, technology, and digital culture. Contributors include @irini_mirena , @patricktresset , and @robertina.sebjanic , among many others. The publication marks the closing of an important chapter in our festival’s history, while opening the door to what comes next. 🤍 We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this anniversary edition so special. To all the remarkable artists who shared their visions and challenged us to see the world from different perspectives. To our incredible Patchlab team for their passion, dedication, and determination. To our partners , media patrons and supporters, and to our wonderful audience for their curiosity, openness, and engagement. Thank you all! _____ 📷 @kachna_baraniewicz

Pomóż zdobyć nam Złotego BohaterONa Publiczności! 🏆 🚨 Głosować można codziennie, raz dziennie, do 30 października 2026 r. Liczymy na Was!

W ramach zajęć z malarstwa studentki i studenci wraz z dr. #imiea #uken #exhibition

For centuries in Europe, black was an expensive colour. A deep, even black was hard to achieve on cloth, and cheap black soon faded to brown. On 7 October in Kraków, art historian and curator Alexander Sheremetev opened the Foundation’s series on the history of colour with a lecture on black (kuro 黒) at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology. More than 100 people attended. In Europe he followed black from the Burgundian and Spanish courts to Victorian mourning, when ready-made clothing was first sold within days of a death. In Japan black stood for permanence: sumi ink, lacquer that lasts for centuries, and ohaguro, blackened teeth read as a promise of fidelity. With thanks to @kulturaby for organising the event and to @antiyuliya for the photographs. To be the first to hear about new lectures and exhibitions, sign up for the Foundation’s newsletter on the website. Link in bio.
