Come along to the @mpavilion next Tuesday evening for a conversation about designing homes for an ageing population. I’m excited to be sharing the stage with such an inspiring panel.
It’s set to be a curious, wide-ranging social and architectural critique that looks to a future where design can help radically improve the wellbeing of our older people. Which, after all, is something we all want to be able to look forward to.
Its free, but bookings are recommended – link in bio.

Such a honour to be invited onto the panel at @mpavilion this week. The designer of MPavillion 10 @tadao_ando_architecture was one of the first architects whose work grabbed my attention as a kid and led to me studying architecture. Whilst I might not be in archi practice any longer I can still appreciate quite how incredible this space is…fingers crossed it remains as a permanent structure 🤞🏻 Lots of other fabulous talks happening in this space over summer including one curated by @markowitzdesign in Feb, well worth a visit for that one!

We are delighted to announce that we will be part of this year's MPavillion Talks at the @tadao_ando_architecture designed MPavillion. This ethereal space will host a panel featuring ourselves, Sue Fenton, Lou Weis, Emily Wong and Millie Cattlin.

The discussion will centre around our experience as a start-up studio in Kensington's Young Husband Woolstore and the importance of maintaining these accessible and affordable spaces to enable creative businesses to thrive. Come along and join in on what we hope will be a lively chat about the future of creative spaces hosted in this masterpiece of architectural design.

6.30pm Thursday 12th December @mpavilion (opposite NGV in Victoria Gardens). Entry is free.

The last supper in Melbs. Roasted Brussel sprouts, ceviche tostadas, thicccck olives stuffed with anchovies (didn’t know these were a thing, my world has been changed), filo parcels, rocket and pine nut salad, fresh pasta ribbons and roasted veges (enough to feed about 5x the number of guests), fresh honey cake (to mark the sweet end of our time in Melbs and things to come), copious amounts of wine and a bottly dessert wine. Somebody told me the other day you could have the best food in the world on your plate but if you are feeling lonely or in dud company then the food would mean nothing. I couldn’t agree more. While this was all outstanding food, its defo the ritual of having friends around the table and bringing people together that makes the food on your plate so wonderful. Here’s to sharing many more wonderful meals together xx

70s themed potluck from the ladies of Canning Street 📍 Unfortunately I was too busy eating to get photos of it all, but all supremely delicious dishes. Fresh focaccia, about 5 chunky dips, creamy cheesy scalloped potatoes, prosciutto wrapped melon, delicious salads with ricotta and figs, tomatoes and mozzarella. All just nom nom nom. Then for pud, the most wild and disturbingly realistic box of fake ciggies(pretzel sticks smothered in Biscoff spread, dipped in white choc and crushed Oreos) including a home made pizza box and 3d printed ash tray. Next level commitment. A hectic trifle and the ugly but cute and iconic hedgehog with cubes of cheese, pineapple and melon with cherries for eyes lol
