In rasto se jo ja rahe,
Ek yaado jo mere sath hi apna kadam badha rahe,
Ek khamoshi jo shor macha rahi,
Dil me to kuch nahi,
Par yeh auesha itna bhari kaise rahe,
Ayesha hai ki tum ho yahi,
Bas jo tum dekha rahi nahi,
Abhi jagha hoon in khawabo se jo barah bechan mujhko kar raha,
Teri tasveer ko apne phone ke display me kab se tak raha,
Dekhata to mai pahle bhi tha par aaj tera text jo mujhe kal me chor diya,
Tera na hona woh kami mere aaj me aaya,
Meri nazaro me nami le aaya,
Teri awaz aur meri khamoshi woh bhi pal jo jee liya,
Aaj jo khamoshi dono tarafh raha,
Tera awaz sune ka intezaar mere dil me raha,
Khawaishe tumse usi tarah ka raha,
Jeene ka makshat bhi tere se raha,
Tere bina zinda to rahe par zee kaha pa rahe hai,
Zindagi jo ab kaat hi to rahe hai,
jazzabat ke pinjarah me keed se ho gaye hai,
Tere aasaman ko baare gaur se jo hum dekhaye hai,
Teri chahato se jo hum gheerah se gaye hai,
Ek parinda jo Tere mohabbat ke aasaman pe jana chahata hai,
Tere aasaman me koi aur woh dar jo mujhe bars me rak rakha hai,
Mausam jo is aasaman ka badal sa gaya,
Khula to darwazha rah par woh aasaman ka mausam jo badal sa gaya,
Paar to fhalaya par urna jo mai bhula sa gaya,
Thufhan jo seene me aagaya,
Its so cold jaise tera jazaabat bhi mere liye thand sa hogaya hai,
Its be july but i feel like December nights jo tapman bhi geerah sa Gaya hai,
Mai bekharab to nahi meri khamoshi jo rahi beasar
Tera aasaman jo badal sa gaya,
Its be not warmful jo tu badal sa gaya,
Ek anderah jo aaya,
Phir ek saveerah ab tak na aaya,
Tere aasaman me badalo ko geerah jo maine paya..

👑📸 Picture this: you wake up with no idea that by mid-morning you’ll be meeting and photographing a monarch. Exciting? Yes. Intense? Absolutely.

❓Naturally, you carry assumptions. How do you greet a Queen? What do you ask? How formal will it be?

🌍 Those assumptions disappeared the moment I met Her Majesty The Queen of Malaysia, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, during a research assignment. Queen Azizah is a monarch whose presence leaves a lasting impression. She delivered a grounded and heartfelt message addressing real issues affecting women today - from mental health to overall wellbeing. During our briefing, I had the opportunity to show her my images from projects across Africa and Asia whilst we reflected carefully on the stories behind the photographs, particularly around education access, girls’ wellbeing and the structural challenges communities face. Where I expected a brief exchange, she gave time and focus.

Queen Asizah spoke about the organisations she had chosen to visit during her programme, carefully selecting charities aligned with education, culture and women’s advancement, fitting a significant number of engagements into a tight schedule. This is a Queen who shows up - not symbolically, but practically.

Ahead of International Women’s Day next week, I’ll be sharing more reflections - and I have an exciting announcement to come. ♥️

This weekend London witnesses a historic moment - the United Nations gather in Westminster - at the same spot the UN General Assembly began 80 years ago, in 1946, which took place here in the UK.🏛️🌍

But this moment is more than an anniversary- it’s one of reflection - and one when the upcoming selection of a new UN Secretary General will certainly be front of mind given our geopolitical climate.

UN:Who will lead? - is a timely discussion I’ve been covering over the past months. As world leaders and delegates gather at Central Hall Westminster for the UNA-UK “UNGA at 80: From 1946 to Our Future” conference, I am sharing moments of a briefing with Ian Martin, Chair of the Board of Trustees at UNA-UK - alongside moments of convening over past months.

Here are some of the questions front of mind:
🔹 First Woman Leader? After 80 years and nine men in the job, I asked if 2026 is finally the year the UN elects its first-ever woman Secretary-General.

🔹 The Voting Process: I asked whether public engagement or wider involvement from people outside the UN should be formally included in the selection process, reflecting calls for modern systems.

This weekend marks an important moment in modern diplomacy will be attended by international leaders and public voices including: 🎤 António Guterres, UN Secretary-General ⚖️ Baroness Helena Kennedy, Director of the International Bar Association 🛡️ Lord George Robertson, former NATO Secretary-General 🌍 Professor Brian Cox, UN Space Champion 🕊️ Maya Ghazal, UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.

Thank you for joining me in this important discussion.

Your stories. Your posts. Your energy fill this feed every day and in a world where war is at an all time high since records began - many of you created beauty.
Real acts stood out -
Those making spaces for people to express themselves
Lifting confidence where others don’t,
That Matters
The world is spectacular,
even as its ice caps are melting.
As dictators are deciding,
so are you -
So whoever you are -
mum, minister, musician -
all of the above
it’s not the role you play,
it’s how you show up for the world.
We only live once.
Make the journey beautiful.

It was an honour to watch @melindafrenchgates speak at St Martin-in-the-Fields last night. I was genuinely struck by how down to earth she is. For those not familiar, Melinda is a former Microsoft executive, co‑founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and is the Founder of @pivotal_ventures, a fund to advance social progress by removing barriers that hold people back. She has an estimated net worth of around $30 billion, placing her among the 10 richest women globally and inside the top 100 richest Americans.

Her qualities reminded me of something I’ve noticed in the best people I’ve worked with over the years. Scientists, photographers, philanthropists. The ones who care deeply and connect with people. That humility really stays with you.

Highlight of the night was when the interviewer asked where Melinda’s $1 billion donation made through Pivotal came from and she just said, “It’s my money,” like it was the most obvious thing in the world. The room filled with laughter. Iconic.

A good night reminder to live fully, stay present, and live through life. Get out there, spend time with people. Don’t lead from the sidelines.
