At its core, this song is about wanting to feel that something matters.

It came from a frustration that kept showing up in different parts of my life… society, love, identity, ageing, creativity, the internet. That feeling of trying to find something real, lasting and meaningful in a world that constantly asks us to consume, perform, adapt and move on.

We consume so much that sometimes it feels difficult to actually feel something deeply. You want a moment to be worth a while, but before you’ve even had the chance to sit inside it, something else is already replacing it.

There’s also this pressure to make our lives beautiful, productive, interesting, successful… and I’ve found myself wondering so many times, why am I actually doing this?

I find that, especially as an artist, we’re surrounded by the pressure of being constantly visible, while also being “real”. We’re constantly sitting somewhere between truth and presentation.

Being born in the ’90s, sometimes I feel like I’m standing on a bridge… watching an old understanding of love slowly break apart, without knowing what will replace it.

I think Need It Loud is my way of asking (screaming) for something real enough to cut through all the noise.

Something that stays.

Need It Loud is out today, and I hope that some of you can relate — and that I’m not the only crazy frustrated one out there. 🪽

I’m still not over this moment and it took me a few weeks to process before I came back on here and share a few words…

My first ever headline gig, and it happened back home, in Norcia…the place that first made me discover why I wanted to do all of this in the first place.
Coming back here after so many years away, years spent working on myself, away from home, finding my voice, and slowly becoming the artist I want to be, felt like the biggest full-circle moment.
For the first time, I got to come home do this and actually feel like a star. The thing I had been dreaming about for so long. And somehow, being there, on that stage, surrounded by so many people who know where I come from, gave everything I’ve been doing all these years a meaning I had always dreamt it would have.

Thank you to everyone who came, supported me, cheered for me, believed in me, and made me feel so incredibly held.
I always knew I was meant to go out into the world and conquer it. But having all of you there, standing behind me, was the proof I needed to actually believe that I could.
Sometimes dreaming isn’t enough. Sometimes we need something physical to remind us that what we imagined can actually exist. That we’re not crazy for believing in something that hasn’t happened yet.
And sometimes, being strong on your own isn’t enough either.
It takes a village.
I’m so grateful that I have one.
And even more grateful that I got to come home and feel it that night.
This one will stay with me forever.
