Pre SWeeT TR NaTioN
Legacy and Background
• Subway Graffiti: He was well-known for locking down insides and outsides of transit lines—
particularly noted for heavy tagging and piecing alongside other prominent writers and crews of the era.
149St +1

• T.R. Nation / T.R. Crew: Pre-Sweet founded or fronted the influential
T.R. Organization (Talented Rascals / Top Ranks), a multi-faceted Bronx crew encompassing graffiti writers, DJs, breakdancers, and MCs.
• Early Hip-Hop Culture: Like many true multi-disciplinary pioneers of the first wave of hip-hop, he was deeply embedded in the culture-active not just in writing/tagging, but also in MCing, dancing, and local Bronx park events.
He made the newspapers when he got busted he gave me the article and I lost it the front page of the daily news said the babe Ruth of graffiti files out and they put his address in the f****** newspaper and he was going to sue them he could have got paid for that s*** they’re not supposed to put your address in the newspaper.

What I wore a few days last week, as the world burns.
The first ‘fit was for a breakfast date, but I changed out of it for the beach to save it for the Schoolboy Q concert. Before the concert, I rocked it with the long sleeve for work, though, to cover the tatas. 🤣

MJ said it best,

“All I wanna say is that they don’t really care about us

Skinhead, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, aggravation
Everybody, allegation
In the suit, on the news
Everybody, dog food
Bang, bang, shot dead
Everybody’s gone mad”

Representation matters. 💛🎨

Imari & Jahndely were so inspired by the women wearing rollers in our M.A.R. mural that they wanted to show us their own! Their smiles say it all. 🥰

Seeing familiar beauty celebrated on our buildings reminds our children that their culture, their everyday moments, and their stories belong in art, too.

Our mural is still going up, and it’s already inspiring our next generation. ✨

Dance, art, and the city coming together in one shared space.

On August 2026, while in New York, the young dancers of @estudiomovimentoemfoco had the privilege of dancing in front of this incredible mural in Harlem, transforming the basketball court into a stage.

Our deepest appreciation for artist @artbygia, who painted part of the mural and later returned to restore it. In the process, she beautifully embraced the other paintings, visually connecting all three works and bringing them together as one integrated space, while respecting the originality of each one.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to @artbygia for sharing her mural and its story, to @omayraomz for introducing us the mural and Gia, and to @erikafujyama for capturing this encounter through photos, videos, and interviews. Appreciation to @el_arteomuerte Ralph Serrano who painted the original girl blowing the bubbles. Thank you for @lucasmendes for being this visionary work believing and directing these bailarines!!!!!!

Congratulations to these talented dancers:
