One of the reasons Electric Sun started making apparel in the first place was because we were constantly altering clothes. @hannahpixiesnow is petite, @stacey.hare.design has curves, and nothing off the rack ever seemed to fit quite right. We were always taking pieces in, letting them out, shortening straps, adjusting waists - trying to make standard sizing work for bodies that clearly weren’t designed with standard sizing in mind. Eventually we realised we probably weren’t the only ones with this problem… so we started creating our own pieces instead. Because of that, we offer custom sizing on our garments at no additional cost. If you need something a little shorter, longer, tighter, looser, or adjusted to suit your shape, just let us know when you order. Clothes should fit you - not the other way around - and we’re always happy to tailor pieces so they feel right on your body.

Today we celebrate the women who make Electric Sun what it is. Electric Sun was built by women - designed, created, packed and sent out into the world by female hands. But this brand is much bigger than us. It lives because of the incredible community of women who wear it, support it, and carry its spirit out into the world. Artists, mothers, entrepreneurs, rebels, dreamers, friends - every woman who has chosen to support this small independent brand has helped shape Electric Sun into what it is today. Watching this community grow over the years has been one of the most inspiring parts of the journey. A note from Stacey - Another year around the sun and our 10th year in business. I’ve been thinking a lot about what actually lasts. Birthdays to me are about growth (obviously) and retrospect. We believe what holds our offerings should be as thoughtful as the pieces we create. Our packaging is 100% compostable and biodegradable, created in harmony with the earth, with select elements that can be planted and returned to the soil - a small ritual of renewal. With so many small businesses sadly closing due to material increases, lack of reach and increased cost of living, we have managed to hold on as an independent brand, with each piece made by our hands and our immediate community, and supported by those who believe in creating with care.
