It’s been hard to put this post together partially because I didn’t realize how little photos/videos I had from my time at @lounge_ohjah. But in a way, that’s what made this place so special. I spent most of my time here meeting all sorts of new people and enjoying being in the moment.

Ohjah wasn’t just a karaoke bar in Little Tokyo - it was a place of community, a place to be a bit weird, a place to practice and talk in Japanese even if you weren’t that good (like me), and most of all, a place to be yourself. I’ve met some of my best friends and community here and will never forget all the experiences I’ve had here.

I’m completely grateful to @tomomilky2003 @kei23years @to_monkey223 and especially @mukumukumoni for this place and all the years of late night karaoke. Thank you for all your hard work, for suffering as I learned new songs to karaoke, and for all your love.
