POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I still can’t believe Akè festival 2025 is over. Three whole days of books, voices, stories, laughter, running around, bonding, and learning more than I ever expected. Volunteering this year was such a gift. I’m so grateful for the opportunity, for the spaces I entered, the people I met, and the memories I’m carrying home with me. Ake changed me in ways I’m still trying to understand, and honestly,I’d do it all again in a heartbeat♥️

Adesuwa, meeting you was one of the brightest moments of the entire festival. I still can’t believe I got to tell you in person that my favorite character lives inside your books rent-free. Thank you for being so warm and kind🥹

Fatima, the way I told you with full chest that I love Ahmed Babangina ,and I’m still not even sure he exists in real life.😭🔥
But you brought him so alive that he might as well be walking around somewhere, meeting you was pure joy♥️

And to my volunteer family…
Wow,Just wow.
You were so kind,So sweet,So supportive,So full of life.
Three days felt like three years of friendship. I miss you all already, the chaos, the last-minute runs, the laughter, the teamwork, the tiny miracles we pulled off together. You made Ake feel like home.
I honestly don’t even know how to thank you all enough. Yesterday was a lot ,emotionally, physically, everything and you all just stepped in with so much kindness, thank you for checking on me, for making sure I was okay, for covering me when things got overwhelming, and for treating me with so much gentleness🫶

Thank you, Akè festival 2025.
Thank you for the memories.
Till next year♥️

A melangé of the past six months—
Of Industrial Training, of looking for placements in the streets of Lagos.
Of bonding with friends, of meeting new people
Of home, of love, of family,
Of God, and making Himself known.

Special shout-out to @manni.tee for making most of these memories for me in forms of pictures and videos.

Day 5!

Love is like a breath of fresh air, filling our lungs with hope and joy. It's a light in the darkness, a warm embrace on a cold night. It's a kind word when we're feeling low, a hand to hold when we're feeling alone. Love is both simple and complex, a constant work in progress. But when we find it, we know it's worth all the ups and downs, the trials and tribulations. Love is a gift that keeps on giving, a treasure that never fades. It's the glue that binds us together, the force that makes us whole.

Today, we celebrate love!

I delved into the waters I tested last year, with each stroke, allowing myself to get lost and then found. I embraced love, experiencing something soft, healthy, and passionately intense, even in our brief time together. I learned to love more and kept space for people.

I discovered the art of letting go and inviting in without compromising my essence and authenticity as an adult. I wrote beautiful pieces from my heart, cried, sang, cried, wrote some more, cried some more, fought for a space for myself, and, above all, I lived. I made a conscious choice to live, allowing myself the freedom to do so, and indeed, I did!
