Almost 3 yrs ago I met Rafael through our Costume Director and was brought into Filipinana. From the beginning, I knew his film was gonna be a deep dive into a very particular visual world.

Working alongside Tati, our amazing Production Designer who had such a distinct image of the film, I had to let go of what I thought I knew about costuming and follow where the work was taking us 😂

Sharing some bits from the process, two years later (!!) because it’s out in cinemas NOW.

Grateful to everyone who contributed along the way to our small team and all the designers, sewers, dressers and many hands behind these looks.

Thank you so much Rafael and Tati for having me. Happy this work is out in the world!

Wherever Gab goes, the air softens. Laughter lifts and the light bends toward her.

幸福 - happiness shared between people, like sky, like breath, like breeze.
