The atmosphere and the ambience at the Chatth Ghat during the morning Aradhya is truly unique. The mood, the soft light of the uncountable diyas, the dying of darkness and finally... the breaking of dawn .... all enveloped peacefully in harmony.... capturing it all in a frame is a beautiful experience... everytime.

Lissabon / The English Comment is just below!!!😉⬇️🔻👇
Heute zeige ich euch den Stadtteil Belem. Es ist ein zunehmend beliebtes Viertel bei jungen Leuten direkt am Tajo / Tejo gelegen mit vielen leckeren Fisch-Restaurants und der berühmten Konditorei Pasteis de Belem, die die besten Pudding-Törtchen machen . Und natürlich auch viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten !
Da ist die absolut beeindruckende 300 m lange Kalkstein-Fassade des gotischen Klosters Mosteiro dos Jerónimos und seiner Kirche Santa Maria de Belém, die auch von innen sehr sehenswert ist, ist in einen Park eingebettet, der zum Verweilen einlädt . In dem Kloster - der Bau begann 1502 und dauerte über 70 Jahre. Im Laufe der Jahrhunderte gab es noch etliche Erweiterungen. Hier sind viele Könige und Königinnen Portugals, Vasco de Gama. Jetzt ist hier u. a. das Marine-Museum untergebracht.
Ein weiteres Highlight ist der Torre de Belem.
Er ist-wie auch das Kloster- von Manuel I. in Auftrag gegeben worden 1515-1521. (@Iris_k21 hat in ihrem Account schon eine perfekte Beschreibung geliefert!! )😉.
Er ist einfach ein Hingucker in seinem maneolinischen Stil -so auch das Kloster-am Ufer und ein Sinnbild für Portugals Seemacht zu damaliger Zeit. Damals gab es noch einen 2. Turm auf der anderen Seite des Tejo, der wie so viele Gebäude während des Erdbebens von 1755 zerstört wurde. Beide Türme standen im Fluss. Der Turm ist durch Anschüttungen (19.Jhrd. ) mit dem Ufer verbunden worden.
An der nordwestlichen Seite befindet sich ein Nashornkopf, eine Nachbildung eines Geschenkes von Afonso de Albuquerque aus Indien mitbrachte und für A. Dürer als Vorlage diente. Seit 1983 ist er Weltkulturerbe. Das letzte Bild ist den Piloten Gago Coutinho und Sacadura Cabral in Lissabon gewidmet, die 1922 die 1. Atlantik-Überquerung geschafft haben (Lissabon->Rio de Janeiro).

🌞 Imagine yourself here facing this extraordinary place... Meteora - either in or out the monasteries - is the place for interiority and for me interiority is a real force. No words needed.... Fab-ulous !! 💙🌞

🌞 Just one advice for women about clothes to wear : no shorts, no trousers only a long dress or skirt to come in the monasteries... otherwise you'd have to wear one of this kinda pareo. I assure you'd feel like in a play and laugh 😂
