I had the pleasure of capturing Manon & George’s anniversary session. Each year, they choose to celebrate their anniversary by spending intentional time together and having it documented, creating memories they can look back on year after year. It always took a huge place in my work. I get a lot of inspiration from cinema, movies and series.
Movement in photography can be implied or suggested with gestures, but it can also be more obvious with the use of blur or details.
Because movement is about life ❤️

Manon and George have a beautiful tradition where they celebrate their anniversary with a couple’s photo session. It’s such a great way to capture how their love evolves over time. And being asked by another fellow photographer to be part of something so meaningful is truly special, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Here are a few of my favourite frames that give a sense of the calmness, the love and those deep emotions that give you goosebumps and butterflies.

Manon and George, thank you for choosing me to capture these images. It means the world to be part of your tradition, especially knowing how many talented contacts you have in your world.

I think one of the most underrated add-ons to your wedding is a second photographer. For a relatively small cost to the coverage of your wedding, you get a whole second photographer, another perspective, another artist.

And the whole notion that your photographer can be in two places at once is chefs kiss*
Someone to capture the guests —> when the portraits are going down, someone to be with one partner during prep —-> while I’m with the other. To me this is such a no brainer. It’s quite literally one of the best add-ons you can go with IMO.

It’s not something you need to organise or even think about, your photographer does that all for you. And say there was some aspect to your photography that you really wanted to include that your main photographer doesn’t or can’t provide in the time/package restraints, your second photographer can cover. Whether this was a style preference (editorial/documentary/details or landscapes), drone footage, 35mm film, someone literally just dedicated to getting artistic portraits of all your fam + friends. Your photographer will have someone on call that can fill any desires.

Of course your main photographer may provide all this, but in the whirlwind day of your wedding, having someone dedicated to some of your priority things can be the icing on your coverage cake.

Some of my favourite images that I treasure come from my second shooters. I LOVE seeing them nail a shot, and do things completely differently to how I would, I see it as such a complimentary service to my couples and I feel so darn lucky to work with some of the absolute best in the business 👏 Thank you queens for always making my clients dreams come true. @emiliekate_photography @manonpsomas @annakemphphotography @foxandkin @lens.of.rosie @tanyavolt.wedding @lovestoryphotographytamworth @erinnredfern_photography just a few of my favs ❤️‍🔥

I know this place by heart. But every single time I return there, everything is different. The light always change, the wind comes from another direction, seagulls decide to show off or to hide, the sun plays hide and seek with the clouds. But the sunset is always gorgeous. Every time.

The end of a great holiday marked the start of a (definitely gonna be epic) lifelong journey for Rachel
& I.

Up on a little secluded & private corner in the Blue Mountains. Just the two of us. Where the view was magnificent, sun was golden & the air was chilly. Super nervous me took a shaky deep breath & got down on one knee. Catching Rach by surprise, she took a little while to connect the dots, shuffling between confusion & surprise. She soon sheded a tear & said YES!

And just like that the deal is sealed. We are engaged.

Thank you for everything @chelwnr . Cheers to many more years of love, friendship, laughter, tears & adventure. We're gonna absolutely smash the next chapter.
