The essence of horology has always been about preserving rare craftsmanship, especially when it comes to intricate finishing and complications. In an age where time is instantly accessible on every screen, that mission feels more meaningful than ever.

@ALangeSoehne continues to champion this cause with their new Minute Repeater Perpetual, a remarkable union of two grand complications, housed in a surprisingly wearable form.

The #PerpetualCalendar is a quiet overachiever, delivering all the information you need without any intervention from the wearer. #Lange’s signature big date elevates it further, offering clarity and legibility like no other.

The #MinuteRepeater by contrast, is delightfully interactive, translating time into a cascade of chimes at your command. It’s the most poetic way to tell time. Lange has refined this age-old complication with modern improvements, from eliminating unnecessary pauses in the chime sequence to adding safety mechanisms that protect the movement from misuse.

Perhaps most impressive is the case: at 40.5mm in diameter and just 12.1mm thick, it’s even more compact than a #Datograph. That is no small feat given the complexity within, and it even boasts a water resistance of 20m.

But my personal favourite? The deep black grand feu enamel dial. Framed with white gold trim and indexes, it’s a stunning canvas created using an unforgiving, traditional technique known for its high rejection rate. The result is nothing short of timeless, both literally and figuratively.
