Hidden in the north of Madrid, the Antigua Fábrica de Harinas is one of those places that feels almost too magical to be real.

Ancient trees, twisted branches, bridges and canals that seem taken from a fairy tale, promenades lined with cypress trees, ivy leaf and green moss covering facades and walls create an atmosphere that changes completely with the weather and the light. Walking through the Antigua Fábrica de Harinas feels like stepping into another world. Every path seems to reveal a new composition.

As a photographer, this is exactly the kind of place I never get tired of exploring. The combination of spaces and landscapes and changing light makes Antigua Fábrica de Harinas one of my favourite places to photograph in Madrid.

I’ve photographed the Antigua Fábrica de Harinas many many times, and every visit feels different. Sometimes the mist completely transforms the trees; other times, shafts of light break through the canopy and create something completely magical.

If you’re planning to get married or any other evento in Madrid, Spain, add the Antigua Fábrica de Harinas to your list.

Would you want to live and feel a place like this?
