I wanted to finish off my takeover of @map6collective by sharing some new work, which is a step away from mythology / folklore

An ongoing photographic project exploring Ireland’s car scene and rally culture, and the people who make it part of their lives.

Still very much a WIP. Some early photographs made over the past year in different locations around Ireland

MAP6 Collective member, Barry Falk, tells us why you should join their full weekend Photography Workshop coming up later this month!

Led by four MAP6 members, this hands-on workshop held at POST will cover the conception, making and sequencing of a project. There will also be a pop-up exhibition at the end!

Whether you are a professional or amateur photographer, you can take the opportunity to broaden your experience by bringing your own unique ideas into this collaborative workshop environment. You will come away with practical skills and knowledge, feeling energised and inspired ✨

MAP6 Collective will be running a Photography Workshop at POST Creatives. This is an opportunity for you to become part of the MAP6 Collective for a weekend in Brighton & Hove, making and editing work guided by four of its members: Richard Chivers, Barry Falk, Chloe Lelliott and Paul Walsh.

We will take you through the conception, making and sequencing of a project, with the weekend workshop culminating in a pop-up exhibition at POST.

The two-day workshop is open to twelve participants.

The first episode of my Appalachian documentary did incredibly well, and I couldn’t be prouder.

I can’t wait to share more of the extraordinary stories and people I encountered along this journey.

But most importantly, I hope this project can help make Appalachia and its people feel PROUD again. This has always been at the heart of it.

For my final @map6collective takeover post I’ll be sharing some more unseen work that I’ve made over the past couple summers here on the east coast of America. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Back for another round of photographs for my @map6collective takeover.

A couple years ago I spent an afternoon with my 4x5 photographing young men at a Revolutionary War reenactment camp in Massachusetts. Here are some of my favorite portraits from that day.
