Over the past four summers, I got to live the dream. For the first seven years of my pom career, I admired every staff sister I met. They pushed me to be better as a pommer and person, and led with so much dedication and passion. I always hoped I would be able to give back to the pom community and impact athletes in even a fraction of the way my staff sisters impacted me. I am who I am because of pom. Every coach, staff sister, camper, teammate, and friend I gained from this sport taught me something valuable that I carry with me each day. Staff gave me a space to take what I learned and apply it in the most rewarding way. Every team I got to work with made me love this sport and job even more than I already did. Thank you to each team and pommer that gave our time together at camp their everything, and even more-so for welcoming me into your families and showing me so much love. Each team showed me something different and taught me so much more than I ever could have hoped for. @mapp_staff gave me the best friends I could have ever asked for. Working in such an empowering environment allowed me to gain so much confidence, and truly made me grow into the best version of myself. My biggest role models became some of my best friends that I will cherish forever. My fourth years, there is no me without you. Thank you for always supporting me and loving me through it all. This job is as special as it is because of the people, and the five of you have made such a huge impact on me and everyone we have been lucky enough to be on Staff with. I couldn’t think of better role models for myself and the whole pom community. There are no words to describe the love and gratitude I feel for these women, my coworkers that became my very best friends in the world. I couldn’t imagine my life without you. @midamericanpom thank you to the wonderful boss ladies that made it possible for these summers to happen. I’m so grateful you have believed in me and gave me the opportunity to be in this position. I am so lucky to look up to and work alongside such strong women. My life will forever be changed by this job and the people it brought me.

and here we go! A few weeks ago I finished my last pom camp EVER!! I could not be more grateful for this business who helped me become who I am when I was 12 and now when I’m 21. @midamericanpom thank you for the endless opportunities and thank you to every single boss lady I have ever had, you all have taught me so so much. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future 🩵⭐️ @hemlockvarsitypom you truly made my last camp the most special it ever could’ve been. each and every one of you’re beautiful faces and smiles are the reason I do what I do and I wouldn’t change it for the world, love you to hemlock and back 💙 @lia.candela @nicole.jolleyy @brookewelch._ @faith.kern @cassidycraggs my favorite people for the rest of my life. Could not have done this summer without any of you. My life seriously could not be complete without you and you all amazing women make me who I am today. Camp 3 was the perfect way to wrap up my fourth and final summer on Staff🩵 @midlandvarsitypom thank you for working so hard every day and doing it with so much positivity and love for one another. Our week together was the perfect reminder of everything I love about this job, and I am so grateful I got to spend it with all of you. I had so much fun!!💙💛 @mapp_staff I’m so grateful I got to spend one last week laughing, crying, and doing what I love with all of you. The best people and the best job in the world!

I am a mosaic of everything I’ve loved, but especially of MAPP Staff🩵🪩💫 This has been more than a job, more than teaching routines, and more than scores. Honestly, it’s never been about pom. It’s always been about the people—the impact, the love, the hard work, and the FUN. Over the past 12 pom camps and four years, I’ve been shaped by my incredible co-staffers, campers, and boss ladies. To every team I’ve had the privilege of staffing: I carry a piece of your love, dedication, and spirit with me, and I always will. None of this would’ve been possible without this special little corner of the pom world and every single person in it. @hartlandvarsitypompon thank you for making my last camp so unforgettable. Our energy clicked instantly, and I’m so grateful I got to work with such a hardworking, supportive, and silly team. You made my final camp so special.💙 To all of @mapp_staff : thank you for filling my life with so much joy and purpose. I hope I was able to give each of you even a fraction of the love and light you’ve given me. When I think of kindness, empathy, and an unmatched work ethic, I think of you. I love you all, always. To my boss ladies: thank you for taking a chance on a 17- year old Lia who only knew one thing, that she loved this community. This job changed my life. It gave me lifelong friendships and taught me confidence, patience, compassion, and how to lead with love. Thank you for believing in me. And finally, to my fellow fourth years, @cassidycraggs @nicole.jolleyy @brookewelch._ @izzykartero @faith.kern : you are my best friends in the whole world, and I truly mean that. When we met on March 12, 2023, my life changed forever. I never imagined that some of us would travel the world together, become roommates, make Tuesday movie nights a tradition, or text each other every single day. I truly wouldn’t be me without all seven of you (shoutout to my girls @briena_scheidler and @katieduffany). Can’t wait to live next door and grow old! Thank you MAPP for becoming the core part of my mosaic. Every person, camp, and memory has become a piece of who I am, and I’ll always carry these pieces with me. Forever grateful, Abe signing out🩵

The hardest goodbyes are often to the chapters that changed you the most🩵 @mapp_staff & @midamericanpom , thank you for hand selecting some of the greatest blessings in my life. Through this incredible opportunity, I found lifelong best friends, a second family, and so much of who I am today. Because of this beautiful women owned company, I discovered that my purpose is to make people feel loved, heard, seen, and valued. Thank you for shaping me into a kinder, more compassionate person and for surrounding me with people who inspire me to be better every single day. Saying I’m blessed doesn’t even begin to cover it. @cassidycraggs @nicole.jolleyy @lia.candela @brookewelch._ @nicole.jolleyy , I could never put into words how grateful I am for your love, support, and the beautiful hearts you carry. You taught me what it truly means to be unapologetically yourself and to pour every piece of your heart into the people around you. You make me want to be a better person, and I walk through life with confidence because I know I am so deeply loved by each of you, just as you are deeply loved by me🫂 To every camper, coach, staff member, and boss lady I’ve had the privilege of crossing paths with, thank you. Every one of you has changed me for the better. You’ve left fingerprints on my heart that will stay with me forever. Thank you for believing in me, loving me, encouraging me, and trusting me to be someone your athletes could look up to. That is a gift I will never take for granted. @grovesvpompon , thank you for welcoming me into your sisterhood with open arms. From the very beginning, you made me feel like I belonged. The love you pour into one another is something truly special, and it’s impossible not to feel it the moment you walk into the room. Never lose the light that makes your team so special💖💚 To every person who was part of this chapter, thank you. You reminded me why I fell in love with this world in the first place. I’ll carry every hug, every laugh, every happy tear, and every memory with me for the rest of my life. This chapter may be coming to a close, but the people who filled it will forever have a home in my heart🫂🩵

Summer just isn’t complete without @midamericanpom camp! From Camps 1 through 3, our amazing network of teammates, alumni, coaches, and former members did it all. They coached teams, supported family, cheered on home schools, mentored as staff sisters, and even directed the camps. We love seeing the supportive community that forms every summer at these camps!

I feel so grateful that I had the privilege to witness your hard work this week💙 @mapp_staff I really do have THE best job in the world. I am a better person because you all are in my life. The very best first summer as a Staff Sister 🩵 @wlcpoms, thank you thank you thank you! You girls KILLED it this week. It’s not easy to learn a new style of pom, but you came in to this camp with the most amazing attitudes, an open mind, and a willingness to learn, and for that I’ll forever be grateful. Keep being your most authentic selves and the powerful pommers you are. I’ll be cheering you on forever!! 🍀💙✨ @mapp_staff & @midamericanpom, where do I even begin? It’s been a dream of mine to be part of this amazing organization since I was a little pom baby and to say that goal has become a reality feels unreal. Somehow in just a few months, a group of powerful and inspiring women became family. Stepping into this role was everything I hoped it would be and so much more! It’s impossible to explain how thankful I am for all of you because of the amazing people that you are. Thank you for welcoming me wholeheartedly, for leading with so much kindness, and for creating a place where everyone feels seen, supported, and loved. This summer reminded me of why I fell in love with this sport seven years ago, and getting to give back even a small piece of that feeling to the next generation of the pom world means more than I can put into words. I’ll carry these memories, these people, and this feeling with me forever and ever. MAPP will always be more than a company to me, it’s a home. Completed my first summer as a Staff Sister and am feeling more grateful than ever 🩵🌟✨ @baycitycentralpompon, you girls were the most amazing way to spend my last camp of the summer! With every day came a new challenge that you faced head on, ready to put in the work to achieve all your goals! I’m lucky to know you guys and I can’t wait to cheer you on throughout the rest of your season! 💜 @mapp_staff, I am living the absolute best life because of each and every one of you. What we do really is magic, I’m so thankful that this is my life and we got to do this all summer long! I’d trade anything to be able to live this summer on repeat and I’m so sad it’s over :( Wishing we could mosh pit for the rest of our lives ☹️🩵 #pompeii 4th years, you guys are the glue that holds us together and seeing you go breaks my heart.
