Throwback - Exhibition and Performance ‘Dahabiyy / Gold’, at 3537 art space, Paris (France). __ ‘The word « Dahabiyy » comes from Somalia, and designates gold in its national language, somali. It is in this same geographical area that the origin of the legendary creature of the phoenix, symbol of rebirth and immortality, is attributed. The phoenix is a mythical bird attached to the cult of the sun whose plumage was said to be adorned with red, blue and gold. It is an important ancestral creature in the occult and esoteric sciences such as alchemy. Dahabiyy explores this idea of the « great work », a mystical elixir that would be at the same time, an infallible remedy, a panacea and would also allow the transmutation of humble metals into gold (…) This transformation thus generates new visions within society and allows for the dissemination of deeper messages that will spread «light within chaos».’ __ Art direction: Borgial Nienguet-Roger, Yonathan Leopold Trichter & Violette Wood. __ Images / Artworks: 1-2-3-4.
