This weekend overwhelmingly exceeded my expectations 😭 so much so, the only words I have that express all that I feel are THANK YOU 💕

Thank you to God, for the gifts I have been given and for the opportunity to be part of a community filled with so many beautiful and talented people. I felt, and was reminded of, how loved I truly am. This entire experience has opened my eyes and heart immeasurably, and I am grateful to recognize what has been around me all along.

Thank you to @livinglamar and @jadedgem__ of @4arts_exhibition for bringing us all together. Thank you to all my Loved 1’s who showed up for us, this was definitely a night to remember 🦋

We did it! 😆♥️♥️♥️ I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out on Saturday and was a part of making our first @a.loved.1 fashion show possible.

Thank you to all of the models for being so flexible, uplifting, and supportive of each other. Each one of you did such a wonderful job in letting your individuality shine and bringing the clothes to life. I appreciate yall for putting your own spin on the looks and shutting the runway down!!

Thank you to @audacity_tours team for ensuring everything ran smoothly and creating a welcoming environment for everyone! The vibes were felt all throughout the evening and each person you picked to be apart of the event was perfect!

Thank you to @jinxphotography__ for holding it down handling the models and supporting them on the runway via Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I appreciate your voice so much; You are a gem!

Thank you @theecrystallite_ for taking a chance on me and including me in your vision. It has been a pleasure growing alongside you and I was so inspired seeing you handle business and attacking your goals. I am forever grateful for you!

Give Her Flowers. 🌹

This past summer, I created a small streetwear capsule collection inspired by some of the women in my life who both nurtured me and inspired my creativity. These are the women who made it possible for me to be the artist and designer that I am. This collection is very dear to my heart, and even more so now after my grandma’s passing last month.

My grandma Evelyn is the one who taught me how to sew as a young girl. I remember rummaging through her sewing kit trying to piece scraps together and playing around on her machine while we watched VHS tapes at her old house. These are the memories I carry and remind myself of now when I think about giving up or not putting myself out there. She would always tell me I sew much better than she ever could, and I would always tell her I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you teaching me! My grandma wants so much more for me and planted a seed that I have to let bloom.

I remember seeing these vintage clothing labels of hers in her wicker sewing kit, untouched. There was no better project to use one of them on but this one. My grandma helped me sew labels into my clothing for @a.loved.1 when I first started it. I sewed my label imperfectly, but I decided to leave it to remind me that imperfection still has a place amongst greatness. I miss her hands so much.

For flowers to grow, we have to nurture them, give them water and sunlight, and also speak life into them. I am the seed of the garden that was sown well before my induction into the world, and my creative work is the bloom. Thank you to my Great-Grandma Parham, Grandma Evelyn, my Mother, and Ann Lowe for tilling the garden. 🌹

A muse and her art! I am blessed beyond measure.

I am thankful to be apart of the How You Wear It exhibit held at the MuseumLab in the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh! I am even more thankful to be apart of the Pittsburgh Fashion cloth and helping our city show that fashion is here!

Thank you so much for @museumlabpgh @pghkids for featuring my fashion illustrations, garments, and my @post_____modern case study I completed for @fashionscholarshipfund in this wonderfully curated exhibition!

Thank you to my friends and loved ones who came to support me, repping @a.loved.1 too!!

I hope my pieces and presence inspires children to dream and create what they want to see in the world ♥️

(No night would be right without a lil electric slide at the end, lol)
