Over the years, I’ve painted the American flag, Lady Liberty, surfers, sailboats, and scenes that remind me why I love this country.

As a mother of five, patriotism has always meant something deeply personal to me. It’s about gratitude for the freedoms we’ve been given and hope for the future we’re building for our children.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite patriotic paintings from throughout the years.

Which one is your favorite?

There are some moments that are difficult to put into words.

Being surrounded by a room full of extraordinary women felt both surreal and deeply familiar. The conversations wandered effortlessly between life, business, purpose, and vulnerability. We shared reflections, origin stories, quiet encouragement, hard-earned wisdom, embraces, and laughter that lingered long after the moment had passed.

It reminded me of something we often forget: we were never meant to build our lives alone.

Women are meant to gather. To pass down knowledge. To tell the truth. To celebrate one another’s victories while offering grace through the difficult seasons. To remind each other that the road won’t always be easy, but that it will always be worth walking.

The kind of connection created in rooms like these can’t be bought. It’s built through generosity, honesty, and a willingness to see one another succeed. If you ever find yourself in the presence of women who inspire you, challenge you, and cheer for you, consider yourself incredibly fortunate.

This is your reminder that there is no prize for competing against one another. There is room for all of us. There is space for every voice, every dream, and every woman willing to pursue it.

My friend and brother, @whiskeyandwisdom, often says, “A rising tide raises all ships.”

I don’t think there is a better way to describe what this community is meant to be.

Thank you @cowgirlmagazine for an incredible couple of days.
@marcellabarret for the creative direction and the vision.
@lenakoch for the styling,
@brumbaughsfw for the incredible hospitality.
