Press release :

ETERNAL RETURN

In the nineteenth century, Friedrich Nietzsche posed the question of Eternal Recurrence; in the twentieth century, Gilles Deleuze reimagined return through difference and becoming. In the twenty-first century, the question remains open, gathering new resonances in contemporary life.

What does it mean to return today?

As the inaugural exhibition of the Repetition & Difference Collective, Eternal Return Vol.1 brings together a group of emerging women artists connected through the Royal College of Art, whose works respond to questions that continue to resonate today.

Through recurring materials, histories, memories, rituals, gestures, and forms of inheritance, their works revisit a question that has echoed across centuries and continues to unfold.

What returns through time, history, memory, and experience?

What is inherited?

What emerges?

Across bodies and landscapes, relationships and rituals, personal histories and shared realities, the exhibition reflects on the shifting relationship between self and world, individual and system, past and future.

What do we carry forward each time we return?

r é n @ EAST | Art & Community

On 23 March, our community came together at @easthk to celebrate the opening of r é n @ EAST | Art & Community.

We brought together works by emerging artists from London and Hong Kong, transforming the hotel lobby into a space for reflection, conversation, and connection.

Rooted in our mission to make art more accessible while creating real opportunities for disadvantaged youth, this project celebrates resilience, supports emerging artists, and builds a platform where art and community meet.

The exhibition is open until 30 April 2026, with artworks available for purchase and 50% of proceeds supporting our youth employment programmes.

Art Month-exclusive merch is available at both @domainhk locations, and the r é n @ EAST cocktail is available at @sugarhk.rooftop until the end of April.

Here are a few more moments from opening night!
