We are proud to have been sponsors of the @stridecolorrun event this past weekend dedicated to raising awareness for mental health.

CMC remains committed to supporting mental health initiatives in any way we can. We have been sponsors of this event the past five years, and we will continue to contribute to the cause and supporting those who may be going through challenging times.

This past weekend one of our amazing chapter projects, @stridecolorrun in the community awareness category held a 5k color run spreading awareness about mental wellness and suicide prevention. Serving in the community is a big part in DECA and our kids are making a big impact and helping many. #DECAMonth 🫶💜💙🩵🦋

Last Friday, we presented the check for March4Minds. In honor of today being Ryan Howell’s birthday, we are excited to announce that we have raised over $20,000 that will be allocated to funding treatment for individuals who are dually diagnosed! Buchholz DECA and March4Minds wants to personally thank every person who participated in this project, especially the Howell family and our partners, @perspectivesrecovery who matched our amount!

Huge thank you to everyone who came out this year for March 4 Minds, to raise awareness for mental health and those who donated to the Ryan Howell Memorial Scholarship fund. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for Buchholz Deca, and the students who continue to carry on this project year by year. Thank you for those who shared your story as well. I was able to meet a recipient of this scholarship, a young man who is now able to live in sober living home and has accessible mental health care because of this scholarship. He reminded me so much of my Ryan. I know my brother would be so proud to know that this run and scholarship is changing lives within our own community. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. As always, I am a safe space if you ever need to talk.

March4Minds is next weekend (November 5th)! March4Minds is in honor of Ryan Howell who lost his battle to mental illness 5 years ago, all proceeds from this event directly fund a scholarship in his name to financially support individuals with severe mental illness seeking treatment.
