At 15, I thought becoming a mother meant the end of my dreams. I had no idea it would become the beginning of a story I never could have imagined 🥹

This is my story of teen pregnancy, choosing life, faith, motherhood, and the unexpected joy that followed. 🩷

“It’s the opening to a new pathway, to a new life, that is full of joy and happiness. There might be crosses, and yes it might involve sacrifice, but the joy and happiness of holding your baby in your arms and cuddling it, feeding it, nurturing it, and just watching it grow - that joy far surpasses the small sacrifice that are going to come your way. The decision for life is always the right one.“

Yesterday, the streets of Trenton were filled with people standing together for life.

Under a beautiful sky, families, students, and communities came out for the New Jersey March for Life, carrying their hope and conviction with them.

It was especially moving to see so many young people and high school groups there.

Their presence was a powerful reminder that we are the pro-life generation, called to cherish and protect every human life.

Let’s carry the spirit of the march into our communities and continue to stand up for life every day. 🙏

On Oct. 8, pro-life advocates from around N.J. headed to Trenton, the state capital for the annual March for Life to be a voice for babies in the womb and the most vulnerable.

From the diocese, many of the faithful attended including students from Catholic high schools and diocesan seminarians. Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney participated in the rally and the march and also concelebrated at the Mass for Life held in the
Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in Trenton.

More coverage to come.
