🥶❄️ A little cold never stopped us! 💜💛

Members from our guard had a great time performing at Fall Preview Day this morning! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us, even in the chilly weather. 💨🍂

A great day to be a Great Dane! Such an awesome job by the UAlbany marching band led by Justin Miller and his amazing team. It was a lot of fun to catch up with two amazing former students and see the band rock it vs. Monmouth! @marchinggreatdanes @ualbanyguard @ualbany_music

Parents Weekend at @ualbany 💜💛 Love spending time on Ev’s home turf watching the @marchinggreatdanes ! 🥁
Lots more to share later, but the rest of tonight is dedicated to a hot bath, making vodka rigatoni, and a movie 😌

The 2026 Excellence Awards Gala was a great time with so many memorable “you had to be there” moments. From the @marchinggreatdanes opening, to moving acceptance speeches filled with humor and nostalgia, the introduction of the GOLD award honorees, and our student emcees Angel and Sethri sharing the stage with Alumni Association president @thejoebonilla, the gala had it all. There was poetry, a life-size cardboard cutout of Ted Anderson ‘82, hugs, and happy tears.

As one alum said, “G-G-E— Greatest Gala Ever.”

We’ll do it again April 24, 2027.

Nominations open for both the Excellence and GOLD Awards in late summer.
