Chloé is a source of endless interest for me, within which Karl Lagerfeld enduring legacy remains essential.
His FW 77/78 collection stands in my view, as a crowing crescendo, a magic madness of the 18th century when splendor knew no fear (think Stanley Kubrick’s Barry Lyndon) fully anchored by thigh-high boots, all crafted by Guido Pasquali.
One can not imagine this show without these « cuissardes ». 10 years after the natural leather ones, the tall black satin version now crosses paths.

The iconic cover of @duranduran ’s1982 album Rio, a symbol of the 1980s, is an illustration created by American artist @patricknagelart .
The work, with its vibrant colors and minimalist style, is based on a 1981 fashion photo by @marciehunt1 that appeared in Vogue Paris.
This photo, identified only in 2024, portrayed the model wearing sunglasses and red lipstick.
The Artist and the Style: The band chose @patricknagelarts , renowned for his clean graphic style, to capture the “exotic and erotic” essence of the era. Nagel transformed the original photo, removing the glasses and hat to create an iconic face. The Mystery Model: For 42 years, the identity of the woman on the cover remained a mystery. In June 2024, thanks to research by Nagel expert Mark Walker and art historian Monica Moynihan, she was identified as Marcie Hunt. Original Source:
The image was taken from a February 1981 Vogue Paris fashion editorial by @tarlazziangelo.
Model Reaction: Marcie Hunt stated that she never knew her photo had been used for the historic cover until her identification in 2024.
Cultural Impact: The cover, with its “cherry ice cream smile,” has become a sort of “Mona Lisa” of the New Romantic Age, perfectly representing the glamour and hedonism of the 1980s.

Flashback!!! Tom And I spent 16 years at Dos Lagos Vineyards in Napa California. We had numerous wines, but the main grape was Cabernet Sauvignon. Sold the vineyard in 2022… These photos range from 2019 to 2020 the kitchen collective at the bar where we cooked with our clients and brought our wines, beautiful snow on the mountain, Marcie and Art for the 2016 label.
