As I sit down to write about the very first men's retreat I attended in the mountains of VA, I find that words fall short in describing just how special of an experience it was.

Over the course of the weekend, the bonds created between these 23 men grow deeper the more time went on. We laughed, we cried, we learned, we challenged each other, and we stepped up for one another.

Whether we were hiking in the woods, or sitting by the fire singing worship songs, or sharing our deepest fears & praying for one another, we were completely present with the beauty that was taking place.

It was a space to drop our guard, be ourselves, open up, and let God’s perfect love in to heal us. I left feeling renewed, encouraged, and grateful to have a circle of powerful men of Christ in my life who I know are there to support one another.

Heart healing doesn’t happen overnight. And it also doesn’t happen alone. It takes intentional effort, prayer, and the courage to let the others in.

Special shoutout to the J.U.M.P. ministry & Pastor (& big brother) Gabe for facilitating this unforgettable event.
