This is my last one standing story.

On Saturday at 8:00am, 107 runners lined up for the ultimate test. We’d run 3.75 miles every hour until only one person remained.

I had set no target distance. My objective was to “run until the wheels fell off.” Prior to this race, my longest distance was 26.2 miles.

I ran for 28 hours straight on pure adrenaline, camaraderie, and mental fortitude. I made top 5. Unbelievable.

I came into this race knowing only my brother @marcomguer, an amazing person inside and out, and left with a community of people I can now call friends. @marcomguer, it was a blast running with you, we crushed this!

@curranblevins and the @commonrunning community supported me the entire weekend. They motivated me, believed in me, and even physically carried me when I lost all mobility. Thank you for welcoming me and treating me as your own #firstvirginiamember.

I truly cannot express enough gratitude to @clairequigley_ for leading my crew. Claire stayed up all night to support me, change my socks, feed me, and keep me sane. She was patient, understanding, and seemingly able to read my mind.

@juliemontealegre was a real super hero for wrapping my gross feet to support me on the course. I could not imagine how much worse they would’ve looked without your expert craft to protect me. @luigzlz can always count on you to have my back and crack some jokes—comedic relief is always needed. @emmaandrewlevich thanks for bringing the dance party to the course. You kept spirits high for the racers into the late hours. @kstof606 @shayne.1112 thank you for supporting me during my final hours. Your presence kept me motivated to keep pressing and finish strong.

I love you all and could not have accomplished this without you. I gave this race everything I had — and that required sacrifice from so many of you. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Ready to come back next year even stronger. We’re just getting started 🖤🤘🏼

I honestly think strength was there…just lost position big time on the last rep. 347 is a matched PR for 4 reps and I was goin for 5. It moved much better than the 4 when I hit it for a PR. Staying positive.
