THE CONCERTO 🎻

Ten cellists. Eight composers. More than two and a half centuries of cello concertos — all in one evening.

On September 30, the Cello-Lobos took the Keller Hall stage with music by Boccherini, J. C. Bach, Haydn, Elgar, Dvořák, Rózsa, Shostakovich, and Gulda.

I’m incredibly proud of the work that went into these performances — the preparation, the courage, the individuality, and the commitment to bringing each of these very different concertos to life.

A huge thank you to our wonderful pianists, who took on the not-so-small task of being an orchestra for the evening.

Swipe through to meet the performers and hear, in their own words, what these pieces have meant to them.

And we’re not done yet…

Had a fabulous week in New Mexico being the Teacher Trainee Coordinator for Teaching Wee Violinists at @rootsandwingsmusic’s Southwest Suzuki Summer Institute and Ready Set Violin. So many fabulous teachers to learn from, and so many lovely young musicians to pour into. Can’t want to bring the Ready Set Violin fun to OH in 2 weeks! 🥰
