A new charity release from Aldora Britain Records...

https://thealdorabritainrecords.bandcamp.com/album/young-river-poet-50-songs-in-support-of-4-year-old-loxleys-fight-against-cancer (link in bio)

This is Young River Poet, a 50-song collection in support of 4-year-old Loxley Johnson's fight against cancer. Loxley is the son of Jo Johnson, a member of Canadian folk powerhouse the River Poets, a band that has frequently collaborated with and supported Aldora Britain Records over the years.

When I heard Jo's tragic news, I thought it was only right that we used the power of music and the community spirit of Aldora Britain Records to help out in any small way that we can. The money raised from this collection will help the Johnsons navigate this difficult time, ranging from Loxley's additional needs to the time that Jo and his wife Amanda have to take away from their careers.

I would encourage all our amazing Bandcamp supporters to download this collection for £10. It is a superb and far-reaching collection of music and you will be helping out the Johnsons and Loxley, a brave young man facing a huge challenge.

This eclectic collection of music features the sensational sounds of Jason Wylde, Iain Clarke, SOUL of SALEM, Tommy Romero, Donagh Cadogan, The Paint Splats, Marc Teamaker, Amy Blanding, Straight Arrows, and many, many more!

Thank you for your support.

"Even before the opener, “North Dakota,” is half done, it is clear that we are at an extraordinary crossroads, a place where genres and eras meet, and indeed become subsumed, a place where the sounds of bands as diverse as The Jawhawks and Squeeze are found dancing together and in turn echo out from the heart of the music."

Proud, pleased and privileged, alongside my good friend Marc Teamaker to have been asked to contribute to this charity complilation by Aldora Britian Records. £10 for 50 tracks from various artists. A bargain for a very worthy cause. You can get it here.
