About two weeks ago I left lexington for the last time as a Student Creative for @uksportsvideo , I make this post to thank everyone who made my journey so special , when I came to Kentucky as a freshman I was a computer science major with no clue about anything to do with a camera let alone cinematography.

That all changed when I met @ian.whitlow while playing basketball in the J.C in 2024. I asked how to be a part and from there Ian took me under his wing and Greg Gorham took a chance on me. Not knowing both would become huge mentors for me. I was introduced to a whole new world with no experience just developing passion and desire to learn.

Along the way I learned so much from being around amazing creatives who were/are doing amazing things . Being able to watch creatives like this made me hungry to develop and get better to be able to contribute and have similar experiences to them.

@zachbrangers was a big part of that . He had previously done track and field for 4 years as well as women’s soccer. Both sports he had passed on ,was a mentor to me in and played a huge factor in my growth. Specifically during track season I was able to learn so much and have so many inspiring moments and experiences with the relationships I built . Over time as I came to shoot every sport at UK athletics I was able to reassure my passion for cinematography. It always so crazy to look back on my journey but it ensures me that god has a plan.

Thank you to UKSV and everyone that is apart that helped me develop, learn and enhanced my experience at the university of Kentucky!

Super excited for the next chapter 💙!

The legacy continues.

My experience at UT would have been incomplete without my brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. Joining this brotherhood has been nothing short of life-changing.

Alpha has opened doors I never knew existed and challenged me to become a better man, a stronger leader, and a more intentional member of my community.

I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the legacy of Epsilon Iota. Building something from nothing takes vision, creativity, discipline, and faith in those around you. Watching our chapter grow and leave its mark has been one of the greatest honors of my college experience.

To my brothers: Thank you for the memories, the lessons, and the lifelong bond. Here’s to continuing the legacy.
