why it’s important to observe stranger danger ‼️⚠️

i knew no one sitting next to me on the plane to sydney. by the time we landed, i had a new friend coming to my set (ily @teknofag)

i’d never met @0800ashley in real life. a few hours later i was staying in his home, meeting his friends and playing at this beautiful event he’d created @mansionspottspoint @_three_six

i bought a ticket to @slayyyter without really knowing who she was, then found out one of my favourite musical duos @2charmmm was opening…

i got right into the mosh for their set and met @ky1e.marshall who ended up on my shoulders and in 2 charms ig story…

then as im walking back to find my friends i ran into @abbzbutler and instead of freezing in fear something came over me (perhaps the post 2 charm euphoria) & i introduced myself to her and gave her my @hejustafan hand fan (along with a shameless independent artist plug for @triple_j breakfast)

and as i soaked up my gratitude i thought to myself: caprice how do u end up in these situations????

and i think its this:
i’ve stopped needing to know exactly where everything is going before i go there.

i used to think i was just weirdly lucky with being in the right place at the right time, but maybe you have to give chance something to work with.

go places you don’t have a reason to be yet.
talk to people who you don’t know yet.

growing up society teaches us to be suspicious of strangers before we’re taught how to trust our own judgement of people.

the last couple of years have taught me the difference.

stranger danger means
sometimes you say yes to playing at a show and staying at the house of an internet friend you have never met because the vibe seems right.

sometimes you have a bad gut feeling about someone you just met and remove yourself from the situation before your brain has had time to catch up.

sometimes you just get on the plane sleep deprived with 20kg of carry-on and talk to the person next to you…

cos u know stranger danger ‼️
but also stranger curiousity kinda goes hard 💅🕺🏽🧚🏻💎💖🩵

and somehow the world keeps getting a little smaller.

Holy fuck… one week after @yourshotau already! A bit late but I wanted to say what a fckn unreal experience that was..

At the start of the year I promised a friend this would be the year I chase my dreams and I fckn did it ✨ and I put all of that down to the amazing experience that @yourshotau is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone of the organisers and my INCREDIBLE trainers @_kylemckay_ and @bowers.ltd 💞 yall did what I thought was impossible and taught this old bitch how to DJ.

I also want to thank all of the amazing people who are now my amazing friends that I made along the way 💞 there were so many moments I thought couldn’t do this and it was yall who had my back and taught me so so much about myself these last few weeks 🫶

And finally thank you to my day ones/booth bitches who have supported and been there for me every step of the way. I love you endlessly and am the diva I am because of yall 🫶

haven’t stopped sobbing that this is over 😭

I came in to Your Shot being like “i’ll be happy if I can dj a bit at the end.” Never in my wildest dreams did I think that it would make this of an impact on me and my life.

Truly if I had walked away from this without knowing a thing about mixing I’d still feel so fulfilled because of the people that made this special - from the ABSOLUTE SUPERSTARS in my Sat 3-6 crew, to my trainers who taught me all that I know, to all of the other finalists who got around me and my content, to all of my amazing friends and family who were the best audience I could EVER have asked for on Saturday - I owe you the world ❤️

It’s only up from here - watch out for all of the insane things these baddies are about to do

from the bottom of my heart,
everyone who has been apart of this week.

endless love for you 💖

my first dj set @yourshotau
my first self-produced electronic release.
more new friends than i can count.
a few accidental viral moments.
and so many reminders that i’m exactly where i’m meant to be.

i’ve spent the last few months throwing absolutely everything i have at this. every spare hour, every idea, every ounce of energy.

and now that the dust is settling, i’m realising just how incredible this community is that i’m building.

thank you to everyone who came to my set, vibed with my in the streets, danced with me, said hello, shared my music, watched my videos, believed in me, or simply took the time to see me for me. i don’t take any of it for granted.

one of my favourite parts of this whole journey has been meeting so many incredible people in melbourne. if we’ve met recently, please stay in touch. if you’ve got a gig coming up, send it to me. i want to come dance, support you and cheer you on the same way you’ve done for me.

i’m going to take a while to recalibrate, catch my breath and get everything in order, but don’t worry… i’m not going anywhere. if anything, this week has made me even more certain that this is only the beginning.

i have many movies to make, many songs to write, and can’t wait to get in the studio and finish my EP with @audiolabs.au

What a weekend 😮‍💨😮‍💨🎧

Five weeks ago I picked up the decks for the first time…This weekend I made my DJ debut playing hardstyle at @yourshotau 🔥🔊

Nervous before my set, but with all the adrenaline it felt unreal to be performing 😮‍💨

Massive shout out to the organisers, trainers, classmates, the YourShot day 1s, and everyone who’s shared advice along the way 🫶 And to everyone who rocked up to support 🥹

Where do we even start… What a show, what a set! ❤️

We can’t thank everyone enough who came out and supported us on such a big day. We gave it everything we had and hope we delivered a set that you all enjoyed as much as we enjoyed playing it.

The last 5 weeks have been incredible for us. From having the best trainers, @_kylemckay_ and @bowers.ltd , to meeting some amazing people in our class who we can now proudly call family — we love you all and can’t wait to see you on the big stage.

A huge thank you to @yourshotau , @_rashbandicoot and the entire team for believing in us, supporting us, guiding us, and giving us this opportunity. We will always be grateful.
