DAY 4 & 5 — Alturas & Sacramento

Ran through the high desert alongside red-tailed hawks and cranes, and somehow managed to outpace the pronghorns.

Sacramento brought our first stretch of urban miles, rolling into trail along the American River. First public run since day 1 and the crew was unreal.

My legs are starting to argue with me a bit, but we’re still moving forward. More fired up than ever heading into the weekend.

Coloma. Tahoe. Let’s get it.

Months of training, learning, and pushing past limits… all leading to this moment.

Race day threw some challenges my way—but nothing was stopping me from that finish line.

The setbacks made the finish line mean that much more. Crossing it was a feeling I’ll never be able to fully explain.

Grateful to have my mom, dad, and close friends there supporting me every step of the way. That meant everything.

Ironman Oceanside… we’ll meet again. #ironman #oceanside
