Thank you @netflixfilm forever for letting us make Finding ‘Ohana. What a joy to get DMs from around the world from kids and families that continue to discover our movie anew. In uncertain times like this, nothing is more important than our ‘Ohana (our families and chosen families). Sending aloha and mahalos to the entire Finding ‘Ohana cast, crew, and our fans…wherever you are today!❤️

“The Flight Attendant” Season 2

Descender rig built on a rolling crane base so it could be positioned exactly where it was needed. A doorway dolly with counterweights, just off screen, provided clean, repeatable vertical movement - smooth up, smooth down.

Every coming #femalefilmmakerfriday, I want to shine a light on different members of our movie 'ohana. This week, I want to tell you about my DP Cort Fey and our amazing light and camera teams. First, I need to thank my friend and AD Susie Flower for introducing me to Cort who had an impressive body of work like LOST, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, YOU (to name a few). Cort was a wonderful partner for me; passionate, dedicated, thoughtful, and collaborative with no ego. Sure, I could post pictures of him in gorgeous landscapes but instead, I want to share a few pictures of Cort behind the scenes, stepping in to do whatever was needed to keep the day moving....which sometimes meant standing in for an actor he was trying to light!

Also hard at work behind the scenes were Gaffer JB (Jonathan Bradley), Camera Ops Colin Hudson, Craig Cockerill, Camera AC's EJ Misisco and Mark "Boylee" Boyle, 2nd AC Paul Tilden, DIT Conrad Radzik, our Hawaii Unit Noah Hamilton, Kaimana Pinto, our Splinter Unit John Gamble, Underwater Unit Ian Takahashi and Loren Elkins, and additional camera ops in Thailand like Teeravit and Jaguar, and our NY Unit Anthony, Greg, and Cristos. And of course a special shout out to our wonderful Grip Roo Flower, and A Dolly Grip Ryan Busscher!

This list doesn't even begin to include our helicopter camera operators, drone operators, boat cam operators, and phantom camera units! It is mind-boggling to think about the number of people who "touched" each and every frame of this movie.

Next week, I'll share some behind the scenes of our amazing costume team led by the incredible, talented, and super lovable Lisa Lovaas....

Super fun 24 hour trip to Vegas this past weekend. Celebrated Roo's birthday, caught dinner on Fremont Street with @3ddave, and literally ran into @comediankengarr in the MGM lobby. Thanks for the memories, Sin City. 🎲🎰
