2025, you were the year of healing.
this time last year, i packed up my life and left florida feeling completely broken. unsure of who i was, what i deserved, or if i’d ever feel like me again. i carried grief, fear, and self-doubt heavier than any suitcase. i truly saw my future in florida. and all of a sudden, i didn’t anymore. but somewhere along the way, i chose myself.
this year taught me how to sit with the hard things instead of running from them. how to be gentle with my own heart. how to love every part of myself. the messy, the growing, the still-healing. i learned that my worth was never up for debate and that falling apart doesn’t mean failing… sometimes it means becoming.
i found my spark again. the laughter that comes from the chest. the confidence that doesn’t need permission. the joy that feels earned. i’m ending this year stronger, softer, and more honest than i’ve ever been.
none of this would’ve been possible without the people who held me up when i couldn’t stand on my own. the ones who reminded me who i am, who believed in me even when i didn’t, and who never let me forget that i am worthy, capable, and deeply loved. your support carried me through every step of this journey.
here’s to healing that hurts but sets you free. to choosing yourself even when it’s scary. and to stepping into the next year knowing i survived, i grew, and i came back to myself.

I haven’t been able to write a proper thank you note to the holiday season but just know it was everything I needed it to be.
I am so grateful for the friendships that were made and strengthened. Thank you to everyone who offered a hug, a shoulder to cry on, a new sza album, a joyful “WoNdERfuL”, a spicy chicken nugget, a pickup from the airport, Cubby corner talks, life advice, a pep talk, compliments,
a knee that looks like mother willlow, a hand hold, a safe space to talk, an elphaba riff, and offering the time and commitment needed for it all to happen as beautifully as it did.

Here I am again stunned at what the universe has brought to me when I needed it most. Thank you all for being my family for the holidays… and continuing to be through this new year.

a love letter to this year & disney entertainment,

2024, you healed me. looking back on this year, i can’t help but be grateful to live the life i got to live. i got to spend a whole year doing something i absolutely love. telling these stories that i grew up with to guests from all around the world made me feel fulfilled & grateful for this life. and with these stories came amazing friendships to last a lifetime. to each character i got to meet: thank you for letting me tell your stories. it was such an honor.

while 2024 gave me a lot, it made me lose some things too. i made the difficult decision that it is time i return home to pittsburgh. this wasn’t an easy decision to make. this was my dream since i left in 2021. but i think that the magic is going to be with me wherever i go in life.

disney entertainment gave me the best memories, people, and stories to last a lifetime. i’ve worked with over 100 characters. i’ve seen babies take their first steps with pooh & tigger. i’ve met so many people from all over. first visits, celebrating birthdays, graduations, achievements, anniversaries, and simply celebrating life. to the guests: thank you for making my job so magical by allowing me to be apart of your vacations. the magic will always stick with me as i hope it sticks with you all.

as my journey comes to an end at disney, grateful is just the word to use. im grateful for the memories, experiences, and people i’ve met along the way. this isn’t a goodbye, it’s just a “see ya real soon pal.”🫶🏼🥲
