Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenbau.

Everyone should be educated about this horrendous atrocity but also learn about the many brave men and women whose tales of survival, courage, determination and defiance also need to be told.

My book (and script) The Rebel Pianist of Majdanek tells the true life story of piano prodigy Mosha who refused to play in the concentration camp for the entertainment of 'those monsters' and was tortured and paid dearly for her defiance.

Many writer friends have also written books, scripts and in-depth investigative articles on the Holocaust.

One writer Jana Zinser has a great book out that you can get on Amazon called The Children’s Train….

And any other writer friends that have Holocaust projects - books, scripts, films, plays - please feel free to list below so people can check them out.

You can still get my book on Amazon too at:

US - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGJNZQWG

Music was such a huge part of the concentration camps..... prisoners used it to lift their spirits and bond with each other, while the Nazis used it to cover the screams and gunshots when they killed people....

Now musical compositions written by Jewish prisoners have been unearthed and are featured in a new Sky Arts 90 minute documentary titled The Lost Music of Auschwitz.

An article about the music and the documentary can be found here:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14304085/Auschwitz-lost-music-Jewish-orchestras.html

Music is also at the centre of my latest book The Rebel Pianist of Majdanek - which you can still order on Amazon:

I am so excited to announce that The Rebel Pianist of Majdanek placed as a finalist in The Next Generation Indie Book Awards in the Military category!!!
I get a nice certificate and a big Flavor Fav style gangsta medal - which I will of course model for you all once it arrives!!!
Sadly I won't be able to attend the actual awards ceremony in San Diego in June as I'll be in the UK - but you can be damn sure I'll be having my own champagne filled celebration while wearing my medal 🤣🥇🤣🥇
