165+ miles later... 🥾🗺️⛪️☀️

The Camino de Santiago was by far one of the hardest things I've ever done. It was also one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. For all the blood, sweat, and tears this pilgrimage demanded of us, it rewarded us with gorgeous scenery, charming villages, and the kindest, most lovely human beings.

When I think about the Camino, I'll of course remember the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, collecting stamps in our pilgrim passports, and the many, many coffee stops. But what I'll cherish the most is the incredible people we met along our journey. I already miss the shared meals, the inside jokes, and the friendships forged during our (literal and metaphorical) highs and lows. Meeting people from all of the world and exchanging cultures through shared experiences is perhaps my favorite thing about traveling. I had the privilege of encountering souls from so many walks of life, and I know I'll carry their stories and lessons with me for a very long time.

Most importantly, I'm grateful for @maren__hunt and @bridget.roy. This journey would not have been possible without them. Maren, your steadfast determination and ability to make any situation funny got us through even the hardest of moments. Thank you for always making us laugh and being our very own personal DJ! Bridget, I have so much admiration for your dedication and endless positivity! Thank you for your constant encouragement and for always picking us up when we were down. I'm so proud of us, and I love you both beyond words 🤍

The Camino isn't just a hike. It's an experience that transforms you through quiet misty mornings and bustling sunny afternoons, through rolling green pastures and brilliantly blue ocean waves, through aching feet and sweaty brows, through church bells and bird chirps. But above all, the Camino allows you to partake in a community unlike any other, and ultimately, it's all the wonderful, welcoming people that make this once in a lifetime trip completely worthwhile and absolutely unforgettable. This adventure challenged me in so many ways, but I'm forever grateful for all it taught me about strength, friendship, and perseverance.

Buen Camino!
