When I first arrived at this pool my heart dropped. The pool was too cloudy to see the bottom especially at the deep end, and I wasn’t sure that I was going to get any good photos in this pool. Luckily @margaret_lynch wore a red dress that despite the cloudy pool still popped out and color corrected beautifully. It really does give off dreamy vibes so I was honestly happy with how they turned out 💙💙

Modeling is a lot like acting, especially when you’re working with someone else. The coolest thing about transitioning into playing photographer more is that at the end of the day I’m still an underwater model myself. So it’s given me the opportunity to work with lots of new faces not necessarily in the mermaid community. A good model can learn to work with multiple different personalities and energies. That’s what I strive to continue to grow on. Of course every session is different with a different pool and different model. This was actually the second pool I was in working with @margaret_lynch and her pink dress really popped. The first pool ended up being more cloudy than I had hoped for 😢 though how got those photos actually turned out better then I would have thought. More to come 😆

My next photo walk is…. Union Station!

Union Station is one of the most beautiful buildings in DC and it’s the perfect location for my next photo walk. We will be meeting at the Shake Shack in the Great Hall at 4pm. And I will have a cohost…. Emerson!! @sonofsanchez.stills

When: November 15th 4pm
Where: Union Station (meeting at Shake Shack)

Unfortunately Union Station doesn’t allow tripods and most lighting gear. You can bring a small flash. We will be shoot in and outside of Union Station.

All photographers and models are welcome!
