Happy 6 Year Anniversary @frutamami 🌺🍍
Join us Oct 11 @blockanddrum to celebrate!
🍑🍓🍒🍇🍋🍍🍌🥝🥭🥥🍋‍🟩🫐

Launching Oct 2, 2020 — fruta mami began as a fruit stand pop-up selling fruit cups, frescas, pastries, smoothies, ice creams, & merchandise. Building a strong community of support, 2021 Casa de fruta mami launched as in-house dinner party. The brand quickly became a local stand-out partnering with brands to help them reach their target audiences. Fast forward > 2026 we have sold out multiple dance parties, merch collabs, & curated events and grown to our biggest venue yet blending cultures @blockanddrum Oct 11 ❤️ i hope to see everyone there dancing! I have cried so many tears of gratitude. Your support has truly been life-changing.

There are stories that feel especially meaningful to tell.

I recently had the chance to sit down with @florista.gif and @margretrivers, the founders of @oye.fest, and talk about what it means to build something for a community that has been creating, shaping and contributing to Atlanta for generations.

What started in 2017 as a dream to see more Latin music and culture represented in Atlanta has grown into something much bigger: a celebration of music, food, art, creativity and, most importantly, community.

I loved hearing them talk about how different Atlanta’s Latino music scene looked when they started—and how much has changed since then. But perhaps what stayed with me most is their belief that Oye Fest can be built by us, for us, while still inviting everyone into the celebration.

That, to me, is what makes Atlanta so special. ❤️‍🔥

Oye Fest is Aug. 22 at Believe Music Hall. And yes, you should go.

2018 - 2026

It’s been a long ride and we’re almost at that time of year again. And when things around us are this insane, it’s a reminder of why we started this in the first place.

Forever grateful to everyone who has planted a seed in this garden. Whether it was time , work sessions, resources, your art, your music, your venue, or buying a ticket.

You’re the reason this exists. Gracias.

And if you’ve never been, we would love for you to come see what we’re all building together.

Hellooooo! Hola hola. I don’t post often cuz my hands are busy doing the Lord’s work. Grateful beyond measure and faithful that the father’s work is continuing to grow and stretch me. CommUNITY is what gets us through the dark times. Fear no evil familia. We do the underground work now to ensure our networks of safety are rooted as a wicked empire crumbles around us. We are not shaken. Firm foundation keeps you ready and steady. KEEP REJOICING. KEEP CELEBRATING. JOY IS RESISTANCE. ❣️If you want to keep a fellow servant-artist-movement leader afloat please send mutual aid funds to @/$boneenee 🙏🏽🤍🌊📻🎙️🏡🔨#bankheadrenaissance #westside #atlanta peace.love.bighug.☮️💛🫂
