GoodFriday X Easter @shoreline_city !!!

This weekend was the most HOLY weekend ever! I spent three days in a row worshiping our Lord & Savior, & man it was the most JOYOUS time of my life. I got spend so much time with all of my friends, seeing so many beautiful people gather together, lives getting saved!!! God is so good. I love life & life always gets better because God is so so amazing. When your church family feels like Heaven — I can’t even imagine what Heaven will soon be like !!! 🤍✝️

Thank you @shoreline_city for allowing me to step in to my purpose. For calling me higher. For my besties. For my amazing LIFE mentors && Thank you especially for our pastors @earlmcclellan @onekamcclellan for EVERYTHING you do, all the way down to just being the most top notch swagger pastors ever.

I didn’t change. God changed me. I asked for a purpose and literally this house has given me the opportunity to not only find my purpose inside the church but also outside of the church.

I would love to share my story some time with all of you! How I went from being lost, broken, anxiety filled, depression filled, NON trusting, living for the white claws, and just repeating the same life cycle over and over until God truly changed me from the inside out. If you feel like you’re too far gone — you’re actually at the perfect spot for Jesus to be near to you. “He is near to the broken hearted” and man when I was broken I needed to hear that.

“Hi everyone! My name is Mariah Bright & I never thought I would be sharing my testimony today! It’s super long, but I’ll try to keep it short. I grew up in a christian home with my mom & nana both on fire for the Lord. I remember going to Sunday school as a kid & would fall asleep in church as I got older. I never got to experience youth or vacation Bible school, but overtime seeds were planted in my life. I never knew you could have a relationship with Jesus, so I was the Christian who went to church sometimes & that was it. I remember my mom would always talk about God, pray for me, speak in tongues, all the things. As high school hit & my parents split up. Life was so hard. I hated school, was depressed for over 6 years, lived in a toxic home environment, was in a emotional abusive relationship with my ex, partied, sneaking out, & so much more that I will not go into detail about. On February 2021 I got invited to this church by a friend (my mom has been trying to get me to go to this church) and i went, gave my life to Christ, & ever since then…my life changed. Over the past year, i built a strong relationship with God, left my old lifestyle & was born again, & i am definitely not the same person I was years ago!!!! I never thought I would be a Jesus Freak, preaching the gospel. I’m so thankful for God & what He has done in my life, & I get the honor to use my testimony for others. If your not dead, Gods not done!”

Don’t listen to peoples critical opinions who you wouldn’t seek advice from.
-
Reminder: you don’t need to please other people. You don’t need to worry about what others say about you. If you want to start that business, start it. If you want to wear a crazy outfit, go crazy.

People worry too much about what others think of them & what they should do. But the only person you should ever please is the Lord. But no one can be perfect enough for Him.

Anyways, why worry about one negative comment from someone when you don’t even know them, or don’t even see doing life with them 10 years down the road. Or maybe you do know them, but why let someone’s criticism stop you from doing you.

I want to remind you to be your authentic true self. Be bold. Step outside your comfort zone, & silence the noise.

Dear SC, when I walked into your doors, I didn’t know I’d be stepping into miracles, growth, refinement, answers that would exceed my prayers, community, and so much more.

♡ SC Summer ‘21 interns for your “SEND ME” attitude, a heart posture of gold + the unbreakable bonds that’ll last a lifetime!

♡ @kaceystokes_ + @cassidydonnegan for continuously praying and setting the table for us interns SO incredibly well!

To the Serve Team: Your heart continuously pushes the kingdom forward!! Keep locking eyes, seeing the one, sprinting to help find parking spots, leading connect groups, prioritizing need over your season, going first and saying YES!!!—its changing lives.

This journey will never get old. I’m so thankful we get to do this til earth looks like Heaven 🕊🤍☁️
