I absolutely did not know whether or not to make this post, because this time around, it hit me way harder than expected.

But then i realized this is not about me. (Keep swiping ➡️)

From the outside, this looks like just an audition. 3 minutes of baring your soul to perfect strangers in the hope of making it to the next round. 3 minutes that can make or break you. ➡️

📷: RTL (Émile Mentz)

But behind those 3 minutes (actually 4 and half for me, but that’s a story for another time), for most of us, there are months of preparation, camps, songwriting sessions and most importantly there is a whole team counting on those 3 minutes for the songs we crafted with all our hearts (some for more than a year) to have a shot. ➡️

The first thing I thought about when I realised I was not getting further was that I let these people down. Yet they were the first ones to reassure me that I shouldn’t bare this burden on my shoulder alone.

So this post is to thank those who you do not see in these audition pictures, but without whom, I would not even have thought to come back to auditions and without whom I’d be sitting in my house depressed after not making it. ➡️

To @bassflowmusic @mariamatheaa @nydeligstellina - thank you for helping me believe that I had every right to be here - I had major impostor syndrome before our session and you gave me the confidence to tear it all away and be my true self . It has been an honor to work with you. ➡️

To @heartbeatstremolo @udomechels.official you guys know how much I love you, and I don’t say that lightly. I came back because I wanted our song to have a platform, to prove that someone who looked like me could make it, and one day… I will. Maybe not quite the way we imagined it and I made peace with it.
We knew from the start that going with brave and raw would be a risk, but it’s a risk that I would take over and over and over again. ➡️

To @larsson_robba @tangosierra1989 @albinfredy thank you for guiding me into writing something completely out of my comfort zone and
